Wouldn’t hesitate to give up a 1st this year and a 2nd next year. If he wouldn’t hesitate to do that, that means he’d give more if push came to shove.

They would both be in their conference championship games with him at the helm. Their first round picks will not have that kind of impact. They literally should be outbidding each other.

I am not sure how many teams you were referring beyond that, but I’m glad you were particular. If I’m the Jets I am not looking at Matt Stafford unless I doubt my abilities and need to fake it for a few years while I find my footing. That comparison applies to some other teams. But if I am the 49ers or Colts I am looking at what might be the difference between a Super Bowl and something less.

Casserly was way off. We only got a 3rd round pick for Stafford. The Rams threw in two 1st round picks for taking Goff. We could have kept Stafford and just took on Goff and they would have thrown use 1st round picks for our troubles. Holmes screwed up!
