The Lions have the ability to restructure a ton of money in 2026 if they need to do so…. there is no concern about their ability to keep players and stay under the cap… in 2026 or any time soon.

Asterisk for cheating though unfortunately. Still I would rather have a Natty with cheating. Pretty sure most schools would say it was worth it.

True but I maintain the guy who we missed most, other than Hutch, was Anzalone. When Anzalone was out the defensive backfield was a complete dumpster fire.

For Umich. In any case both teams won, which is great for the B1G. I was pretty happy to see that. We had been getting shit on pretty regularly before that.

I don’t recall if this was brought up earlier in the thread but there was this from today’s Det News article.
Williams’ resume as a pass rusher wasn’t as polished as, say, Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon (Detroit Loyola), who went to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the night.
However, even Ohio State’s defensive line coach, Larry Johnson, admitted his scheme wasn’t conducive to Williams using his pass-rush traits. He (and Holmes) believes there’s a lot of untapped potential in that area.
