2025 Mock Draft Thread

I’d be surprised if we’re interested in Princely. He doesn’t have the power game we tend to like in an edge. There are also rumors of character issues, though of course I have no idea if they’re true or not.

i would really like that, but Membou and Arroyo are very unlikely to be at our pick

Sawyer, ehh maybe.

I had to watch him underachieve for 3 years on Saturdays, I don’t want to do it on Sundays

Just screams clipboard-holder.

I’ve never been more unimpressed with a college kid vs the hype in my life

I still can’t figure how he was evaluated the way he was in high school.

No elite physical tools at all.

I think he’s got a pretty awesome arm. Not like, a strong arm, but a really smooth one with a quick, easy release from multiple angles, off-platform, etc…

The problem is he’s got a ten cent head, gets flustered too easily, misses deep all the time, has awful footwork, and the arm, while multifaceted, is of average strength at best.

I agree. Super weird.

That was literally it, looking back on his recruitment.

He was thought to have a stronger arm than he does, and then I think people thought he was a better processor than he is.

It’s a little like Zack Wilson, but with a much weaker arm. Similar throwing platforms and angles, made it look easy. But not smart, bad footwork, too easy to fluster, missed too many open guys, etc…

I’d love Ivey DE and Pegasus NT (spelled wrong on purpose)

On day 2 and 3 … teammates

Thoughts?

I brought up Ivey a few months ago as our type of DE, somewhere in that crazy 2025 draft thread. He fits us like a glove physically.

That said I honed in on him for 4 games and he takes more plays off than I thought. Not the end of the world for him - Jalen Carter takes plays off too - but I don’t know how Brad’s gonna feel about it. That’s the part that gives me pause.

Finally coming around on Pegues, eh? A couple of weeks ago he felt like the only Mississippi defender you didn’t like. Good to know you’ve seen the light.

He’s a crazy athlete for his size, but more of the glue-that-held-it-all-together type than a star, which is why he probably won’t go high sky. That said, every good team has guys like that. He’s happy doing the dirty work so his teammates can make plays. You could see how quickly his Shrine bowl teammates came to love him after that pick in the game. The whole roster practically dogpiled him.

Jimmy Clausen? Or Ron Paulus for that matter.

I’ll be honest, I meant to add him to the crush list but then when you said you liked him I was just kinda giving you shit. I really didn’t mean to single him out and leave him off.

But in my head I don’t think we’re ready to write off BroMart yet so I’m not sure we would take a NT but your right he could be a Levi replacement at 3T/ NT.

A guy with name of Pegasus tho , I welcome him .

I will add him to the crush list with an *Asterisk saying “ Thats2 Referal”

Everybody has him very late in the draft tho, why?

Mostly because he was outshined by the guys around him. But people need to ask why he was outshined, and it was because he was a guy willing to do all the dirty work. And do it really well.

Also he’s never gonna be a guy who puts up big numbers except TFLs. But he’ll be a stalwart in the run game, and he’ll get plenty of pressure, but mostly he’ll be forcing QBs out of the pocket rather than bringing them down. Honestly he’s a bit like Alim, except slightly better as a run defender and slightly worse as a pass-rusher (as prospects). The two next to each other would make us basically impossible to run against imo.

Seems like a dude that the NFL will be much higher on than the draft community you’re right.

Like BroMart in the sense we could all draft him round 7 but then draft day he goes pick 100 or whatever

But agree, I see him as a round 3 guy like Alim…not a round 5-6 guy

One thing that might push him down is the depth of the class. This one is loaded at DT, whereas Alim was in what was thought at the time to be a down class at the position. Not a single one went in the 1st round.

Idk, maybe.

But that’s what we thought for last years WR class and they were all gone by pick 40 it seemed

Very very good guess…there is smoke here. But the draft is 3 months away so who knows …but really good guess from what ive heard.

I’d be pretty surprised if he was still on the board when we pick.
