Yeah there haven’t been a lot of big time upsets. Even in the local survival pool I think the only teams eliminated are those that forgot to turn in a pick or went with something risky like Pittsburgh last week.
I’m total winner at the moment. This is my first survival rodeo and I like how the website dims the teams you’ve already selected.

I’ve skated by using Indianapolis and Arizona, feeling pretty good about it. Glad to get them out of the way (though it looks like Indy might actually be pretty good).

Yeah a concern, but if we’re worried about QB injuries we’d try and get a lot of teams out of the way early lol.
Plus given their schedule and defense, I think they’ll still win plenty of games without him, just like they did last year. They don’t win because of him imo.
Yep, Denver, Arizona for me, and then Atlanta this week. Trying to save the big dogs. Guess we’ll see if it’s a good strategy.
That’s why I picked Baltimore early. Colts are my nail biter team. If it comes down the needing them and Richardson is QB, I’m screwed.
It’s always a balance. I’m actually rolling with KC this week cause I don’t know that they’re that great, and their schedule is brutal. Next really obvious place you’d take them again isn’t until December and who knows if I’ll still be around then.
Wash, Zona, Bills for me so far. Looks like taking Wash early may have been a good idea with Daniels hurt now. Bills seemed like a no brainer and I was in KS hunting so didn’t have time to look at other teams

2/3rds of us didn’t make it past week 1. Had to do something with our superior knowledge.

I used to be in one of these that had thousands of people in it. $50 for one entry and $100 for three. HUGE pot, so huge that the guy who ran it eventually shut it down, he was getting spooked.
I came so close to winning it one year, was one of four people to make it to week 14, at which point you have to start picking 2 teams per week to win. If someone goes 2-0 and the others don’t, they win. If everyone goes 1-1, you move on to the next week etc… Once you made it to week 16, if there was more than one person with the same recrod, they split the pot.
You can imagine how difficult it was. By week 14 you’ve eliminated 13 teams from being chosen, so you’re basically left choosing teams that would be an upset if they won. I managed to go 1-1 that first week, but a couple of others went 2-0 and advanced. Heartbreaking.
