I’m curious why Max Anderson wasn’t a September call up. He had very similar McGonigle stats for Toledo, other than a lower walk rate and being right handed. He’s a much better hitter then Jung, who’s been called up multiple times and shown nothing.

I really think its because of the potential lockout.
In order to call him up he would have to be put on the 40 man roster. If he’s on the 40 man roster then he can’t play at all during a lockout.
Im thinking they didn’t want to risk his development for a month in the big leagues.
