That would be so much cooler if he had a Tigers jersey on

Rainer did a whole lotta watching. 2 strikeouts looking, one all 3 strikes were looking. Smooth at SS but lefty on lefty got him at the.plate.

So far a rough start at High A. Looks the.part…just needs to get it going.

Caps were lethargic, had 3 hits in 8 innings but made it a game in the 9th, tying runs on 2nd/3rd 2 out….pop up.

Garrett Pennington can hit in the low minors, but he’s 25 going on 26, so….in fact the whole team is pretty old for High A.

The shoulder injury last year really set Rainer back. He’s basically starting all over again. He is one guy that I have alot of faith in.

A scouting report on him a little bit of hit and miss with this website with my personal history with them added to it.

Detroit Tigers add pitching in Baseball America’s latest ‘staff draft’

The Detroit Tigers’ farm system appears to be heavy on hitters when it comes to their top-end talent.

Baseball America sees the Tigers replenishing their pitching at the top of this summer’s MLB Draft.

The outlet released its second “staff draft” on Monday, covering the first 75 picks in the draft, to be held July 11-12 in Philadelphia, including Tigers selections at No. 22, 61 and 69. Baseball America has the Tigers spending two of those picks on pitching, starting with prep righthander Coleman Borthwick at No. 22.

Borthwick is a 6-foot-6, 255-pound prospect out of South Walton High School in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

“I like most of the high school arms on the board here more than their college peers, which is no surprise if you’ve followed my thoughts on the draft for a while,” writes Carlos Collazo, Baseball America’s MLB Draft reporter, who selected for the Tigers. “Borthwick is huge, yes, but he’s got an electric fastball/slider combo with great athleticism for his size and more advanced control than you might expect because of that.”

Geoff Pontes has the Tigers taking Florida State lefty Wes Mendes at No. 61. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Mendes owns a 2.43 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 11 starts for the Seminoles this season, with 86 strikeouts in 63 innings pitched as a junior.

Baseball America has the Tigers taking Luke Williams, a shortstop/outfielder from Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania at No. 69, which is a competitive-balance selection**.**

Baseball America slotted Texas outfielder Aiden Robbins to the Tigers in first round of its first staff draft last month, in a selection made by Jacob Rudner, the outlet’s national college reporter.

Used the stats on the Propsect Rankings page which hasnt updated with guys like McGonigle and that moving up to the majors

So, removing McGonigle changes the score to?

I think last report I saw had the Tigers from 8-12 in MiLB rankings with no KM

They dont have updated with McGonigle and Griffin and others yet so this is before the season

Plus this is only top 100 not a overall on minor league clubs

Tigers’ Cris Rodriguez among 10 ‘prospects to watch’ in FCL: Baseball America

Rodriguez can hit the dickens out of a baseball," Baseball America senior editor Josh Norris writes. "Now, he needs to hit them more often. He has 70-grade juice and slammed 10 home runs in his pro debut, but there are kinks in his swing that will need to be worked out to help him get to that thump more often as he moves to the U.S.

“His athleticism and long strides give him a chance to stick in center field — he should be at least an average runner, as well — but his offensive skill set would give him a chance if he has to move to a corner, too.”

==

After signing with the Tigers for $3,197,500 — a franchise record bonus for an international free agent — the 6-foot-3, 203-pound Rodriguez spent the 2025 season in the Dominican Summer League, where he clubbed 10 home runs in 172 at-bats, talling 39 RBIs, and compiling a .308 average and .904 OPS. Of his 53 hits, 23 went for extra bases. He added 10 stolen bases to boot.

Rodriguez is among the Tigers’ top prospects, ranked No. 8 by both Baseball America and MLB Pipeline

Rodriguez is my favorite prospect. I affectionately refer to him as Gonzalez lol. (Frm will get that)

He is only 18 years old and has plus plus power. Wait until he starts filling out. He legitimately has a chance to be an Aaron Judge type superstars if his bat to ball skills develop.

Great to see him back after being on the DL for much of the season.

I knew you would be happy

I wonder if Will Vest is sick or dealing with a minor injury.tot worththe DL.

It has been a while since he’s pitched

With the way he has been pitching it makes me wonder if he has a dead arm. That would also make sense for the time off. Its not that uncommon fir a pitcher to go through it early in the season and normally takes care of itself after a little time off.
