25/26 NCAAB season; MSU UM and more

One of McKenney or Burnett just needed to hit a three or two that they missed and it’s a W

Surprising that it happened at home but doesn’t change anything. The Big XII is about to beat each other up IMO. The Big Ten to a slightly lesser extent as well. UCONN may go into the postseason with one loss simply bc the rest of the Big East blows.

Probably more like 5 and 5.

Nevermind.

Came back from double digits twice…but we just can’t miss this many free throws against a decent team.

This Bama team is so hot and cold.

The SEC took a massive step back this year. Maybe Vandy’s for real. Still not totally sure. Like I said earlier I think Florida comes on strong but their Guards are so much worse than last year.

We are going to have a very very hard time beating Florida when we play them. We have basically no answer for their bigs.

I agree. That’s a big reason why AZ had such an easy go of it.

I think it’s going to be hard for us to ever have a truly physical big man like that, because to play for Oats, that player also has to be able to run up and down the floor and shoot from anywhere.

Charles Bediako on the Brandon Miller team was the last real center we’ve had.

Arizona doesn’t play as fast as you guys do but they also play very fast. So does Michigan. They are both huge. It can be done.

Have you heard anything about Caleb Holt and where he’s leaning? From Huntsville but Tommy coached him on the USA team and Arizona seems to feel pretty good about their chances.

I think it’s down to Bama, Houston, and Arizona, and I don’t think anybody really knows where he’s going.

Being from Huntsville myself and similar-ish to him in age, I’ve known about him for a long time. He’s got a chance to be the best athlete to ever come from the city. There’s a lot of pressure to “stay home” and go to Bama, for obvious reasons, and he’s taken plenty of visits to Tuscaloosa, but I think he might end up choosing the higher pedigree option of either Houston or Zona. Still though, I wouldn’t count us out.

I think it’s anyone’s game to be honest with you.

He would make Bama instant contenders again next season if we got him.

He looks awesome. Such an unreal decision maker for that level of athlete.

He’s very very very good.

I just looked at On3’s “algorithm,” and they have us as the “favorite” to land him with a 23% chance.

What’s even crazier is that he didn’t go to Huntsville High or to Grissom when he still went to school in this area…he went to Buckhorn…which is kind of out in the middle of nowhere.

This school that sits on a bunch of farm land outside of Huntsville, Alabama happens to have the #3 player in the entire country for basketball. It was a wild time.

This? This is way out of date and probably made up. Auburn and Ole Miss have been eliminated. Providence while in the top five is more just kept in it AA tribute to Alim English who he loves. It’s really Alabama, Arizona, Houston and Kentucky.

Kentucky and Houston are going to offer the most coin. Arizona and Alabama have his preferred style of play and are both going to run their offenses through him.

I think you’re right that it’s likely Zona, Bama or Houston.

Huntsville native Chase McCarty, who I assume Caleb knows, plays for Houston. I wonder if that has anything to do with his recruitment?

Kelvin develops Guards and Fertitta pays as well as anyone in CBB.
