Izzo seemed a little flustered in the press conference and seemed unsure of how to respond. My feelings are either he takes care of this directly or the NCAA needs to. I’m not sure how Fears isn’t being called for flagrants with this crap. Tripping, kicking, forearms to head and neck area. He needs to be sitting for at least 1 game, if not more.
Just change the thread name to UM and more and be done with it.

This is what I was referring too, and May didn’t volunteer this he was specifically asked about it. He never mentioned Fears by name but this was in the article today about last nights game:

Though Izzo said he felt the referees did a good job of not letting May’s comments from earlier in the week affect how they called the game, Fears said he felt more attention was being paid to him.
“Oh, for sure. And that’s usually what happens when you make a big deal out about something, obviously,” said Fears, who went 4-for-11 and missed all three of his 3-point attempts. “That’s kind of what, going forward, I kind of expect it. But at the same time, the only thing you can do is just play ball. You can’t really control all that extra stuff, but it is what it is.”
Izzo took it further, again bringing up his displeasure with May’s comments and how it could affect Fears’ reputation the rest of the season.
“Well, when somebody comes out and publicly comes out and says something about a guy, that sometimes happens,” he said of Minnesota potentially goading Fears by getting under his skin. “But that’s Jeremy’s fault. … So are [opponents]) baiting him? Well, of course. Of course. When you go public with something, you should get baited. And it’s his fault. And I make no bones about it.”

Sadly as I watched that in replay, I agree with Dusty. It was a dirty play. Hoping Izzo gets him to stop that crap. Fears has to get his head out of his ass. That’s not Spartan BBall.

Wolverines vs Spartans Collegiate Hockey on FS1 right now. Ranked #1 and #2 respectively in the USCHO rankings. Spartans just went up 1-0……Ugh. Puck has been in the Wolverine’s defensive zone almost the whole time I’ve been watching. Spartans forechecking dominating the play so far.
Edit: And now 1 - 1. Phew. LG Blue!!!
Edit 2: What a game. Now 3-3 with 5:23 left in the 3rd. Was 3-1 Spartans after 2, and Wolverines have tied it up in the 3rd with one of those being a short handed goal. Only 1 penalty called this game and they end up scoring the short handed goal during the Spartan PP.
