3 Lions rookies put on Active/NFI List, plus Atkins

Atkins is not a rookie but qualifies for participation in the rookie camp by not having a full season under his belt. He played in two games for Detroit last fall.

The active/NFI list means the player has reported but is unable to practice because of an injury that occurred off the field. This can include collegiate injuries carrying over to the NFL.

In addition, the Lions placed WR Chris Lacy on the active/physically unable to perform list.

BTW, I noticed that Nauta is good to go, interesting to see how it goes between him and Logan Thomas. Personally, I don’t think Nauta has the blocking ability to compete in the NFL yet, he’s a little lite and needs to add some weight (mostly muscle).

Have to wonder if some of those guys listed above failed their physical for whatever reason and can’t be cleared for practice yet. Maybe it’s nothing and they’ll be good to go shortly, or maybe not.
