Many reports mentioned that the Bengals gave Trey a raise to ~ $30 million for 2025… but details matter of course.
Trey was give a $13 million bonus by the Bengals…
which is already paid by them and they own the cap hit.
His base salary is $16 million for 2025….
or $941,000 per game check.
Trading for Trey after week 9 would leave 8 games left.
Lions could get him for 8 weeks…. PLUS the playoffs …
and pay him $7.53 million for the remainder of the 2025 season.

The great thing about acquiring a productive veteran at the trade deadline is that much of the salary and bonus hits the previous team’s cap!
In this case… Bengals would pay $21.47 million of his cap hit.

Lower the price, the higher the comp. Probably a higher pick. Do you want Trey at the cost of Deckers replacement? That’s the question I am not sure of the answer to.
We won’t have to trade a 1st for half a season of Trey Hendrickson, and neither will the 49ers.

Of course they are. Lynch and Roseman are the 2 best GMs in the NFC and they are the most aggressive. Holmes loves sitting back and watching the competition make moves. The trade deadline will roll around and Holmes will trade a 5th for a non impact player and fans will make excuses.

Yea we should fire Brad. His strategy of drafting pro-bowlers doesn’t work at all. He should be focused on hall of famers and he keeps just getting all pros. You suck Brad.

The Bengals aren’t doing poo with Trey. I like him as much as everyone else, but they’ve never been serious about trading him. I think Flacco can keep them in the hunt long enough (in the Bengals minds) to hold onto him or ask for a ridiculous return.
