6th and 7th Rounds

I would also be interested in another RB by round 6. Kyle Monangai?

I love Monangai personally, and I don’t see him going much higher. Not the type to test himself upward, but 100% our kind of guy.

And he might be our best pass blocking RB day 1. Wish he were better in the pass game although that may have been scheme related. Doesn’t seem stone handed.

Right, he doesn’t have quite as much versatility as the other guys - at least he didn’t at Rutgers - but what he does have is pretty valuable. At the very least I wouldn’t expect him to be a huge drop-off from Reynolds in the passing game, but he’s a much better runner.

He’s supposed to be an awesome dude as well.

Yeah I have too. Hard-working, team-first, etc… No way we’re not gonna like him for that stuff. Only question is how we think the juice will translate. Similar deal with Sawyer actually.

Late round depth…

Caleb Rogers
OT
Texas Tech
Height: 6 - 4 |
Weight: 312 lbs |
RAS: 9.43

Caleb Rogers is a five-year starter who has taken over 4300 reps in his college career. He is a very good athlete who moves well in space, which makes him an effective second-level blocker. Rogers is a nimble pass blocker who is light on his feet, has excellent straight-line speed, and can finish plays down the field. He has positional versatility with experience lining up at left tackle, left guard, right tackle, and right guard. A physical blocker who does well at the point of attack. Rogers has been penalized an obscenely high 25 times in his college career and has below average pass blocking numbers. He gave up 22 pressures in 2024 on 610 pass-blocking snaps.

Experience and versatility.

He’s awesome. I have him up there in my initial list, but I’m worried he’s starting to creep up boards after the combine. Of course I always worry about that, but he’s listed in the 3rd round on one of the sims I use the most, and the 4th on a couple of others.

You know the more I look into the late round OL players the more I am convinced that there will be some real quality left in the 6th and 7th.

For sure. And unexpected guys who fall like Mahogany and Wingo.

This guy might go undrafted, but I am sure the 49ers are now interested after releasing FB/H-Back Kyle Juszczyk. Very physical blocker. Another potential day 3 gem.

The man can lay and finish a block I’ll give him that.

Plays like this are the reason I no longer think Rogers is one of them.

Guys with his level of juice + strength just don’t tend to last long.

Ahmed Hassanein and Howard Cross are 2 DL I liked in the later rounds when I was doing my mock draft.

I would be surprised if Cross made it to the 6th. If Rogers doesn’t make it I would look at Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan.

Chimere Dike is a guy that will probably go in the late rounds. Maybe even FA from what I am seeing on mock boards (maybe not after a 4.34 40). He reminds me a little of Odell Beckham upside wise (he is not nearly the prospect obviously) but with worse hands. I don’t think we’ll be in the market because he will likely be a slot. But there is something there to work with.

I would be surprised too, but then again Wingo fell in the draft and they’re similar players.

Late rounds for Dike sounds DeGeneres.

You know rotational guys simply will fall, and that is to our benefit in this moment. Right now, if we didn’t sign another player and with Hutch back in the lineup I would say we are better than the team than only lost one game w/o him last season. The more they keep filling holes I am all for trading up for an impact player.
