-The Lions did not call a single time-out in the game
-Detroit started five drives inside Titans territory…but yet another on their own 1 yard line
-3 different Lions completed a pass
-While Goff only had 85 yards passing, his QBR was still great…128.1
-Detroit enjoyed its first defensive/special teams score since 2022…and on a 90 yard punt return, no less!
-Despite posting half their normal yards, Lions nearly scored twice their average points (approx)
-Brock Wright had more receiving yards than Amon-Ra

Bonus Halloween-week weirdnesses: 7 MORE freaky facts on game:
-Det enjoyed their first +50 yard field goal of year
-Stopped the Titans on a goal line stand—by defending four straight passes
-Ran fewest plays of the season, but scored the most points of the season
-Det was season-worst 3-9 on third downs, but redeemed themselves by going 5 of 5 in the red zone for the 2nd time this year.
-In the first half Lions had 31 yards passing, and yielded back 22 yards in sacks
-Goff had his 5th straight QBR over 114 while completing just 12 passes
Why some things kinda make sense, IMO:
Titans are #1 defense in yards allowed, but they find creative ways to lose. Lions played resourceful full-team football.

If there was ever a game that illustrates that “yards don’t matter”, this was it.
Also, isn’t it strange that when people usually compile “total yards” stats, that it almost always pertains to rushing and passing yards. Hardly ever are return yards included.
Its no surprise that the DVOA special teams rank now show us as #1 .
