He also played with this rip away Jersey that would tear very easily. So his Jersey was always in tatters

I am assuming you might not have realized they moved to Tennessee and became the Titans.

Their coach was Bum Phillips and he wore a huge white cowboy hat on the sidelines as I recall. Maybe he only wore it off the field that I can not remember so well

Those were the crazy years of the league. Those dudes made peanuts and played for keeps. It was always personal it seemed.
