I think Garrett and Cleveland agree on an extension that makes him the highest paid non-QB in the league.
Buffalo is my runner up choice but I’m going with no trade.

Most seem to think this is the most probably outcome. Just a very difficult time for Cleveland to trade him.
Which is too bad. Honestly they need the reboot, and they won’t get nearly the future capital for anyone else on their roster. It would also give them ammo to go after a QB.

Listening to the Garrett interview on Rich Eisen, I think Garrett wants out period. He wants to go to a contender, you could hear it in his voice and he specifically said he wants to play meaningful games at the end of the season and believes he can elevate a team and take them over the top.
That doesn’t sound like a guy that is just trying to get more money thru an extension
Could it be that he called his buddy ZS and could feel and hear the enthusiasm in his voice.
Listen it is grind…but it is way more fun if you are winning verses losing. The grind seems easy when you are winning. But mentally the grind just wears you out of you are just losing all the time.
I have no doubt that he wants to go to a contender. I just have doubts that the Browns are going to completely blow up their team to appease him. It’s my understanding that the cap ramifications that a Garrett trade would lead to would necessitate them cutting other good players.
Yea I get that, but in the end I believe it depends on what Cleveland can get for him. They need to reset and build, and Garrett won’t be happy sticking around for a rebuild. So it all depends on if Cleveland wants to rip off the band-aid now and get some draft picks for it or have a disgruntled player for the next couple years.
This is true. But they may have to hit the reset button regardless. That includes starting to dig themselves out of cap hell. Replace the more expensive vets with rookies and try to hit the ground running in 2027. They are in a really bad spot right now (if Garrett truly does want out). No QB, in cap hell, disgruntled super star, decent roster but not good enough to truly contend unless they get a Jayden Daniel’s type rookie. It might be better to rip the bandaid off now and get to work on levelling things out. The fans in Cleveland deserve a winner too.
So no turds unless we really like them?
