I don’t believe he would bat in an RBI slot ( 2nd-6th). Now, someone down in the lineup to turn it over? Sure. Also singles arent really RBI drivers the way xbh are.
The game has changed with speed being valuable again. Why do you think a 3 consecutive batting champ did it with 3 different teams?
I’m not fully out on it, depending what they want, but its a 1 year rental that costs money and players. He wouldn’t be retained I dont think given the talent pipeline and INF logjam.
If its Montero and Isaac Pacheco? Sure. If it’s anything tasty? Nah.

I saw something comparing Bregman’s #'s to Vierling’s and how scarily similar they were…but I would think if this was true that the Tigers wouldn’t have been pursuing Bregman so heavily and offering him so much money???

If Parker Meadows is on 2nd base, a single is an RBI. And he can steal 2nd base. Manufactured runs. Better than guys who just plain suck.
If the Tigers lineup was loaded with power… Arraez could work. But the Tigers were bottom 5 in dingers last year. Adding another punch and judy hitter is not the problem.
You need guys who hit dingers! 
Guys who hit dingers and don’t suck are expensive and not available. Unless Cecil Fielder is coming over from Japan. We’ll just have to hope Carpenter stays healthy this year.

Hinch uses DH in a rotating manner with Carpenter getting majority of them.

I mean…I don’t really see the point in passing on a guy you know can get to first for a guy you hope can steal second.

They arent looking to move Arraez. They have spent themselves into having to use Jason Heyward and Connor Joe as a 2 headed Jurickson Profar replacement and their current DH is…well read the article, but they all should be in the minors.
Also looking to keep King and Cease.
Suarez may be the guy on the move to a closer needy contender, like Boston or Texas

It may win a press release, but it may not actually push your organization forward. We were very conscious of that throughout the winter and we were very targeted about the players we wanted to add to this group.”
On whether he is still looking outside the organization for additional right-handed hitting infielders:
Harris: “We felt it was really important to add a right-handed bat and we feel good about being able to do that (second baseman Gleyber Torres). There hasn’t been a ton of options for us to add a second right-handed bat. We don’t think there is going to be one coming through free agency. We’re going to explore trade options but we feel really good about the group we have, and we think it is a group that’s going to continue to get better.”
