Aaaaaand that's a wrap

I just don’t understand how you can root for a bad team your whole life to turn into absolute coward when they turn it around.

I remember in 2023 after we looked shaky against New Orleans some of the usual suspects swore the Packers were winning the division.

Like time and time again the sams people same the same thing about what this team won’t do. They do it and act like they never said it would happen.

This can’t an enjoyable way to fan

We might have already missed the window.

The window was 2023 - 2024 when we still had AG, Ben and the core of the team. The injuries on defense last year probably closed that window.

That’s the only explanation I have for what Brad is doing. Howie works overtime trying to create a perennial SB contender that doesn’t have windows.

It seems like the Lions are working on creating a team that is above .500 and might win a playoff game every year or two but won’t go far (like Pittsburgh has been for most of the last 15 years).

I mean, it might be an intellectual leap, or at worst, intellectually obnoxious, but I don’t think it’s necessarily dishonest. At least not yet.

Unless I’m missing it, there was only 1 player moved on the offensive line, some dude named Trevor Penning.

stealing this for future use

The Lions have a coward at GM. Except when it comes to trading up for project players.

100000% this!

Once again

takes two to tango when it comes to trades, Lions def could have tried to pull off multiple trades, but other teams didnt want to tango

Same song and dance, rinse and repeat.

Lol “it takes two to tango”. The classic go to excuse.

Penning isnt really that good, but the chargers have lost both starting Tackles and a backup, had to do something

I can already hear the next press conference playing in my head.

Holmes ego is stepping on his own dick.

Realistically speaking, was there a move made today that the Lions should’ve done in place of another team that would’ve improved their SB chances?

The biggest need was OL and only one, Penning, got moved. I’m not sure any of the other moves made would’ve improved the Lions chances that greatly. The OL is ■■■■■■ and I don’t think it was getting fixed today.

Even for a depth player and nothing

Gonna be up to Goff and Morton to adjust to the Olines struggles, more RPO and quick passes (SLANTS, I NEED MORE SLANTS)

TeSlaa isn’t a project player though.

He’s a good prospect who just happens to have been drafted to a team whose offense has no role for him and won’t have a role for him for a few years.

He’s going to be one of those players who does nothing for the Lions but ends up on another team and becomes their WR1 or WR2.

For example with it taking two to tango, this:

There WAS a role for him under Ben Johnson’s offense. Tim Patrick was still involved as the WR3. Now there is only a WR1. Even Jamo’s WR2 role hardly exists.

Let’s see…..we need major upgrades at 3 of 5 OL spots, and pretty sure someone said this is a good draft for IOL so perhaps those magic beans are more valuable come the draft then right now!?!

And I don’t wanna hear “the window” crap, both Brand and Dan have stated they want perennial contenders…..you don’t see the Chiefs, Bills, 49ers or Rams hitting the panic button and stating their GMs are stupid for not wagering the future!
