Dude is such a nice guy, I just have no confidence in him running a program. If he gets the job, great, but the “aw shucks” persona he possesses doesn’t exude confidence. Yes, that’s a shallow judgement that I could be wrong about, but that’s my impression of him.
That’s what Newsome was like too, though. Very mild-mannered
I think he is very underrated and has been key to us churning our lower end roster. Hard to know how much he factors into all the decisions, but it seems like Holmes relies on him quite a bit. I think we’d be better keeping him, but at least if he goes, beans, beans, beans.
Yes, mild-mannered, but still a quiet confidence.
I remind myself that our glimpses of him at the podium are not where he’s (Agnew) comfortable at, but I’m also a bit stubborn in hanging onto those impressions.
If he does, we get a comp 3rd for this upcoming draft (2026) right?
It’s possible I suppose, I just don’t think it’s as important for a GM to be compelling in front of a camera. In fact I think far too many get hired because they are (coaches too). Ozzie, Bill Polian, Ron Wolf, Dick Haley, Jim Finks, Bobby Beathard, none of them were boisterous personalities.
Yes. One this year, one next year. As long as the rules haven’t changed since last year.
Mmmm
In some ways, hes been really good to have but…
Beans, especially when we need it the most rn
Right. As a draft nerd, I’m all for it.
If he gets through the interview process sounding like Xavier Legette than he really was viewed as supremely qualified.
I DO think he’ll be one of the hotter names this offseason, especially since our season’s over. Ironically could help him get hired.

I think the Lions would be an attractive team able to poach an upcoming scouting director looking to move closer to a GM job… to be the new Assistant GM.
Maybe they could bring in a former Lion player… who is climbing up the ranks… and would also be considered a “minority” for the purpose of the Rooney Rule.
.
Who can guess this former Lions player without looking it up?
.
I had no idea and went to look it up (so I won’t spoil it), and I have to say I’m pretty surprised.
I had guessed Daniel Bullock, because I thought his twin brother played there . . . surprised at who is though.
Is there a petition to move both 3rds to 2027. I’ll sign it.
Wow, good for him. He’s already knocking on the GM door.

Kristen’s one of my all-time celebrity crushes. If she needs beans she gets 'em!
And I’m fasting the first week of the new year. She’s got me thinking of hummus.
