"Lemov picked up on that point and took it further. Even when people know something is fake, she explained, our brains still react as if it were real.

“Yeah. I mean, I think even on a basic level, people, it’s known and studies have shown that we respond as if it were organic and real,” she said.

“Even when somebody likes a post of yours, the response is the same as, like, in-person interaction,” she added.

“What I got interested in, in social media and how I connect it with the episodes of brainwashing—it creates states of emotional contagion that aren’t really about convincing people of a different way to think,” she explained.

She continued, “But more about how you feel about what you think.”

That emotional shift, she said, mirrors the exact tactics used in cults.

“It’s not that it changed my thoughts,” she said. “It’s how I felt about those thoughts.”

That’s when Lemov dropped one of the darkest revelations in Big Tech history—a secret Facebook experiment that quietly manipulated the emotions of nearly 700,000 users.

And the users had no idea it was happening.

“There’s a famous Facebook experiment I read about that took place in 2012 and was published in 2014, where they announce that they’ve achieved, mass emotional contagion at scale,” Lemov told Rogan.

She explained how Facebook altered people’s newsfeeds without their knowledge or consent.

AI will never be able to do this. :joy:

Sean walked right into it btw.

Im afraid its already too late, my friend. Everyone will fall for it. Some people are saying 75% of all jobs will be gone in 5-10 years (some are saying 3-4, but I cant wrap My head around it. Acting is done. The guy who made this joke commercial said this cost him 500 bucks to make and took less than a day. A typical commercial of this type is 500K.

If it’s on TV…how do we actually know if it’s real people or just AI? Like the actors in that AI video about the puppies. Sure looks real and made that for 500 bucks. Then think about the news, politicians, and celebrities. Couldn’t it all just be AI? How do we actually know? Seen some deep fake videos that have blown my mind.

Well, how do we even know that note that @stephenboyd57 reportedly sent was not AI-generated? Signed, your friendly chatgptbot

It is crazy. How long before we start seeing an AI doctor? An AI accountant? AI Truck drivers or Uber drivers? Engineers? How about a hologram AI lawyer that has every single precedent and law at its fingertips? Self flying airplanes, robotic / AI fast food workers. Restaurant workers in general. I think the skilled trades will have some longer lasting barriers…the problem will be if anyone has the money to pay them. Definitely scary times. I think the world will look completely different in 5 to 10 years. Maybe this is why we don’t see much alien life out there. Technology rises to a certain tipping point and crushes civilizations. Have there been advanced civilizations previously on earth?

Perhaps this is why we are seeing the takeover by the very richest among us. They understand our historical economy is coming to the finish line. Grab it now or never grab it.

Possible. Just look at the pyramids in Egypt… How the ■■■■ did they built that? Who built it? With what technology?

Yeah, I did a deep dive into that about a year and a half ago. Some crazy shit. I’m pretty sure a bunch of slaves living in the sand didn’t figure that out on their own.

And no modern humans can replicate it? Hmmm just lost technology perhaps. It’s interesting to think about. We like to think we are the most advanced in 2025… But maybe that’s not the case at all.

we need to build in some “must-haves” for AI bots so we can threaten them back.

reminds me of a program that was talked about attempting to get people willing to die by suicide bombing to develop relationships with others – i.e getting them to “love” someone so they would think twice about killing themselves.

i probably jumped a few steps there, but its what came to mind.

Who built the Pyramids of Giza?

What are the Pyramids of Giza—and who built them?

Aliens or Egyptians Who Really Built the Pyramids ...

Who Built the Pyramids? | NOVA | PBS

The pyramids of Egypt, including the Great Pyramid of Giza, were built by the ancient Egyptians during the Old Kingdom period, primarily under the reign of Pharaoh Khufu around 2550 B.C.1578. Khufu commissioned the Great Pyramid at Giza, which originally stood about 481 feet tall and was constructed from an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks weighing between 2.5 and 15 tons each58.

Contrary to popular myths, the pyramids were not built by slaves but by a large workforce of skilled, paid laborers and seasonal workers. Archaeological evidence shows that these workers lived in purpose-built villages near the pyramids and were buried with honor close to the sites, indicating they were respected members of society rather than enslaved people467. The workforce likely consisted of rotating crews who worked on the pyramids as part of their civic duty or employment, similar to a feudal system, rather than forced labor6.

The construction techniques included transporting massive limestone blocks along the Nile River from quarries, as recorded in papyri found at Wadi al-Jarf describing teams led by inspectors like Merer7. Archaeologists have also discovered evidence of sophisticated ramp systems used to haul heavy stones up steep slopes, which would have been essential for building the pyramids’ towering structures9.

In summary, the pyramids were built by organized teams of skilled Egyptian workers under royal direction, not slaves or mythical outsiders, using advanced engineering methods of the time14679.
