They can learn. You must have taught it that it takes two teams to play one game!
AI Overview

The 2025 NFL preseason will consist of 49 games, including the Hall of Fame Game. The regular NFL preseason will have three weeks of games, with all but two teams playing three preseason games. The two exceptions are the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers, who play an extra game due to their participation in the Hall of Fame Game. The Hall of Fame Game will be played on July 31 between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers.

Just saw a YouTube video investigating dynamic pricing and AI. They said Uber’s AI can tell whether you use an iPhone or an android, whether you are using a company credit card or a personal card, and even how much charge your phone has (to determine your level of desperation, I suppose). It takes this information, and probably additional data that we don’t know about, and customizes dynamic pricing just for you. Some companies are basing pricing on gender and geographic information about where you live and how much they think you can afford or will be willing to pay. Just look at the amount of information available online. I was able to very quickly find a treasure trove of my personal data, including an estimate of my net worth. It wasn’t exact, but it was within a couple hundred thousand dollars. Certainly close enough to determine I could pay a little bit more. This shit is getting out of hand. Very scary shit. Unfortunately, since all of our elected federal officials are older than dirt and probably don’t really grasp the potential damage from AI, we are all ■■■■■■. Hell, I bet half of those old bastards don’t even know how to turn on a laptop. Now there’s a bill circulating in congress proposing states can’t interfere with AI progress for 10 years. This country is in desperate need of term limits and age limits for politicians.

I’m still waiting on an artificial Granny. Not everything AI is bad!

I would suggest inserting your Peepee to the left. The right hand side is a trash compactor.

Also, when you place your order, have a dirt poor strawman with a credit score around 450 to make the purchase. You’ll save thousands.

AI will recognize you’ve hired the strawman, and conclude you can afford even more.

Most likely. Probably end up being a felony and I’ll have to spend a couple of years in prison. I definitely don’t like the way this thing is going. I used to mock my dad for not using his Kroger card, because, he didn’t want Kroger knowing what he was buying. Looking back, he was ahead of his time. But data collection on customers is out of hand. It’s like Independence Day, they are using our own satellite systems against us.

Here’s a link to the YouTube video that I reference. It’s 18 minutes, but definitely a good listen. Especially telling are the snippets of corporate executives basically saying consumers will swallow whatever price they give us.

Yes sir. And hydraulic fluid makes for a decent lubricant.
Now, you might feel a little pressure down there…

ChatGPT has been a big help to me and coworkers. Like making a PPAP process formatted instantly and spit out into a doc or whatever.
Also, I was curious why my male dog keeps wanting to hump my hand every day. He got fixed but acts like he wasn’t. ChatGPT answered my question fairly enough, I guess. With no embarrassment, no judgement - just an answer.

This shit is supposed to be what the government was invented to protect its citizens from.

That’s not a free market.

The shit that Kroger is doing should also be illegal. We don’t consent to having our biometric data taken when we walk into a grocery store.

I’m sure they’ll just say “well you don’t have to shop here”, but where else are people really going to shop? Large national chain companies have a firm grip over market shares like they didn’t use to have…which allows them to do terrible things like give you a certain price based on what you look like.

THAT is the scary part about AI.

Your instincts are correct, overall. I don’t know about your personal situation and the motivation of your employer. I do know that one of the many courses that AI is on is extracting as much “expert” info as possible. The goal is to take the knowledge of “seasoned” professionals and be able to “give” it to younger/cheaper employees on command.

I remember years ago I had an issue at my house, so I called the appropriate company to take care of it. They sent out a young tech. He spent 3 weeks trying to troubleshoot, diagnose and fix the issue. The company…to their credit…made a switch in techs after 3 weeks. This time they were VERY specific on the exact day and time the tech would be there…instead of a general range. It was 7:45am on a Saturday. I will never forget it. By 8:15am the problem was not only diagnosed…it was fixed.

I like that story about the younger vs older tech trying to diagnose the same problem. I have always used it as an example of WHY companies pay older individuals who are less physically capable…more money. It easily pays for itself. Recently when I realized what they are working on with AI, it makes me revisit that story. The goal is to extract the knowledge of the older tech and give it to the young tech on command. There are enough positives to that to overcome the negatives. Which is why the “brain drain” from older employees to give to young employees on command is in full force…and the outcome is inevitable.

This is really a thing.

There are essentially two varieties of AI at play on the customer support side of things… One that’s listening and providing analytics, along with real-time analysis of the interaction.

Then there’s one that’s listening, analyzing the interactions and comparing them to other successful or unsuccessful interactions, providing tips to the next customer service rep. This is the one that’s going to eventually say “here, let me do the talking”.

This is true… the boss is always pressing us to put more information in are troubleshooting reports.
I put as little information in them as possible.
