I think Troy is tired of the gaslighting that Jerruh is trying to pull where he is so much smarter than everyone else and operates by his own set of rules. Jerruh’s refusal to take a look outside of his palace is causing the franchise to become a bigger and bigger joke.

Jerruh used to love to rub it in everyone’s faces that Dallas was hated because they were so much better than everyone. People don’t hate Dallas anymore, they laugh at them. Troy is tired of seeing Dallas getting laughed at, and is hoping Jerruh starts to listen to former Cowboys that he needs to wake the F up and stop the delusion that everyone is DYING to work with the Cowboys.

Well said

That and i dont think jerry will hire a “rising star” or “developing coordinator”

Jerry will hire an existing HC from college or ex coach.

Rex Ryan, Deon, Bill, Pete Carrol, Gruden etc. aka big known names

Jerrah made big money in buying up RE out past Plano up to Frisco with Aikman and Irvin tagging along learning the RE ropes. Troy is just trying to not look like the homer mouthpiece he is

Troy’s phone was probably ringing at 8:00am. “You ungrateful bastard!..”

Well now that Jerruh is getting Deion on the line, Jerruh might end Troy’s call with “We are getting the 90’s band back together. How’d you like to be OC?”

It’s a difficult job. I know everyone wants to shit on Jerry, but Jerry has had enough success at Dallas to feed his ego that he knows what to do to win. He’s won far more games than guys like Tepper.

The Cowboys have great facilities, great exposure, and on the business side the best run team in the NFL. Jerry knows how to market that team, but at the end of the day it’s Jerry’s team and Jerry is going to run every last aspect of that team the way he wants. It’s going to take a coach with a very strong presence to navigate that.

I would have paid big money to see Jerruh’s face when he first heard what Troy said. Well, not big money but maybe a buck fifty anyway.

Here you go, send me the 150 bucks asap!

It’s not! Who wants to deal with a senile micro manging owner?

I just don’t see him and deion co-existing.

The emperor has no clothes. Jerry’s best days are behind him and his days of winning the Super Bowl are closing at warp speed. He’s 82 and there’s been some slippage. Father Time is 108 billion - 0. A successful rebuild, even if Jerry did everything right (and I mean, come on), is at least 3 years away. Then he has to be good and lucky in a window generously opened to maybe another 3 years. And he has to face Jayden Daniels twice a year. T’aint happening.

Thanks, 57! A hundred fifty pennies from my penny jar is on its way. Please send your name, address, social insurance number, driver’s license number, mothers maiden name, credit card number, and name and photo of the last woman you had sex with so I can make sure its you.

I’m actually shocked Deion declined it:

NFL Drama: Deion Sanders Declines Cowboys Job, ESPN’s Peter Burns Calls It 'Incredibly Foolish

Actually shows some intelligence on his part imo. The pro game takes away his best advantage - recruiting. Plus he couldn’t surround himself with nearly as many sycophants in Dallas. I think he’s made for the college game… and there’s no shame in that. Saban was much better in college as well. Matt Rhule too.

He’s a God to college athletes… I don’t think his schtick would last very long with NFL vets if the Cowboys don’t win.

Agree 1000%.

That Prime Time stuff may carry hay with impressionable young college students, but I doubt it’s going to work on a grizzled vet like Zack Martin.
