@BigNatty could do wonders for Marcus Davenport. Tune him up a notch or 5.

Natty is a positive and motivating fella… I didn’t realize he could heal and prevent players from snapping their ankles. Very impressive

You’re welcome

ā€œDavenport had a fantastic performance as both a pass rusher and in run defense. His length and quickness gave fits to the Lions top offensive tackles Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell. Davenport scored quick QB pressures at the expense of each of them.ā€

That is absolutely the most exciting performance-related snippet of news I’ve heard of camp so far. I knew almost nothing about Davenport before he came to Detroit - that he’s had decent sack numbers for games played and that he’s been interested a lot.

I looked him up on YouTube - and wasn’t impressed. Looked slow to me. Hopefully an upgrade over the mediocrity we had opposite Hutch last year but his tape in no way excited me.

But if this description is fair, even in the context of drills being able to beat Penei and Deck sometimes and quickly is SWEET. Holding up well in the run too also guarantees that he’ll see the field. Doesn’t speak to the injury possibility, but… maaaaan. If the player described is this report can show up and stay healthy when the games matter… :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
