Honestly that’s a darn good deal for the Mets. Pete gonna hit 40 bombs and protect Soto. For 1 year 30 mill? It’s a bargain. Kinda suprised Pete couldn’t get more. Yes he is declining but can still hit bombs.
Agreed if the Tigers had done that instead of signing Torres I would have been just fine. There is a second year on the deal for $24 million but odds are he will opt out, so. Now let’s hope bregman signs some kind of deal like this you know 3 years 75 or 4 years 100 with an opt-out after 2

Yea I read Bregman still looking for a 6+ year deal. Not sure how true that is but he sure is taking his time. Makes me think he wants to stay in Houston and is hoping they increase their offer. Otherwise just take the Tigers or Jays money and start house hunting.
