Another post-season weekend without the Lions

Damn, it’s such a beautiful thing to go into this weekend without any anxiety.

Who is looking forward to kicking back and watching the games?

I am, but to be honest, I will miss not watching the Lions in some capacity.

Hopefully the social media team can pump out one of those season in review videos to satiate my need for Lions football!

Just watch season highlights! Can take up a whole sunday.

Absolutely, five consecutive days of football when you include the CFB semi finals. Great weekend.

Screw watching season highlights just watch our trick play reel, should get you through an afternoon. Call the doctor if your excitement lasts for longer than 4 hours.

The most interesting game of the weekend is Vikings at Rams.

That’s the one to watch and, perhaps, the most likely to reveal the Lions next opponent.

If the Commanders upset the Bucs on the road (which will be no easy task), then it sets up the Eagles for a tough Round 2 vs the Vikings/Rams winner.

I told my Chiefs buddy this yesterday. I said it was crazy that this is the opening weekend of the playoffs, and it will be strange having a stress free weekend and it’s not because we were eliminated. He gave me a “first time?” Yeah, yeah it is. :joy:

100%. It’s a great feeling to sit back and just enjoy the games stress free knowing that the Lions are waiting next week and, furthermore, to scout their future opponent. I always have great anticipation for the NFL playoffs but it’s next level enjoyment when your team is sitting in the catbird seat.

We haven’t had this feeling since 1991 when I was just a young fella and some here @HSVLion, well one really haha, have never had that feeling as a Lions fan.

I hate bye weeks.

I am with you

The wife and I are heading out to visit 2 of our kids who live in Chicago. Which is fine since no Lions football.

But normally we both kind of plan the weekend around watching the Lions.

She is more of a pure Lions fan and likes watching Mahomes and KC. While I would likely watch as many games as humanly possible.

Need to get the games recorded for sure

This bye week will gently prepare you for the 2 week Super Bowl wait and for the interminable off-season.

Temps are coming up out of the deep freeze to just freezing. I’m probably going to hit the ice this weekend. Just got a brand new shanty that is begging to be used.

Yup. I hope everyone but Drew Allar and James Franklin have good weekends. Rooting for the lower seeds in the NFC

It all worked out exactly how I planned it.

6 weeks ago my buddy and I started planning on going to a Texans game the first Saturday of WC weekend. It was easy to predict even back then they would play there because 1) they weren’t catching Baltimore, Buffalo or KC, 2) the other AFC South teams suuuuucked and were very unlikely to catch the Texans, and 3) the Texans have never NOT played the early Saturday game of WC weekend, which is pretty shocking.

The only hangup was the Lions also getting the bye, but as long as they didn’t end up with the Saturday night game I could be back in time for it in case they didn’t. And I knew if our game with the Vikings got flexed to Sunday night they wouldn’t put us on Saturday, so I rolled the dice.

Yes, I put a lot of thought into this lol.

always gives you time to watch some college football players and do mock drafts too

 Clever title - 1 weekend as opposed to the usual 52.

I might even do a couple playoff parlays and relax waiting to see who we pummle next. :innocent:

What a season!!! Gonna watch these games, cheer for Washington. But I really don’t care who wins.

Anyone coming to play the hungry, rested Lions in Ford Field is really ■■■■■■!

Non lions football is just so boring and unimaginative. Like watch the steelers play football for one possession…
