Yeah, it’s not like the work is going anywhere…sheeesh.

Exactly! I usually work from home, so imagine my plight. LOL.

Hudson Haulers…

Before I retired, I was on this forum all the time. Had to do something at work.

I would get nothing accomplished working from home. I have too many distractions and projects that I’d be wandering-off to do.

I work from home sometimes. More so lately and it’s difficult to do.

Momma goes … your working from home today? … here’s a list of honey do’s …also can you help me with this and help me with that … then my little one wants my constant attention to … it’s difficult to do unless no ones home.

Adorable. How old is your daughter? My son turns five in August.

The pandemic has turned him into a friendship zombie. “Muuuusssst hhhhaaaaaavvvveeee ffrrrriends.”

What a bizarre time to be kid. At least we know how screwed up the last fifteen months have been

Thank you. Excited for kids to have their lives back. The difference between my year 38 vs. 40… whatever? But 5 vs. 7 is just so consequential. Good thing that kids are so damn resilient.

But we’ll always have the “mom haircut pictures”. Gonna have some fun with those down the road.

LOVE these perfect, young humans!
Absolutely consequential to have troubling times at that age. I could go off on human psychology of youngsters for hours. LOL.

Just deleted a couple of paragraphs, as I was starting to get deep.
Don’t have the energy to spend on that right now.

Love your little ones.
Love you guys.

Approximately 30% of businesses had a remote workforce pre-Covid.
That number is about 70% today.
When we get back to “normal”, analysts believe we’ll settle in around 50/50.

Spark Plugs…engine won’t run without them, or if they’re not properly gapped.

What do those numbers mean? Are you saying that 70% of businesses have at least some part of their workforce as remote or that 70% of workers are remote today. The latter seems highly exaggerated.

I think the next economic correction will bring an end to the idea that most people can work remotely most of the time. I think most companies are putting up with it now because they have to in order to keep people. Once the power dynamic shifts back to employers, I think you’ll see remote work seriously curtailed.
