Any leads about who will take over for Ragnow?

Hand to God. Brad knew rags was out weeks before the draft and targeted tate long before the draft…moved up to make sure they got him. Brad went into the draft understanding he needed his next center and put a shit ton of extra work in finding the best prospect he could to make that transition. Would it have been more ideal for one more year for rags and an easier transition, yes. But thats not the cards we got dealt and they are prepared for this.

I heard rumors, i really shouldn’t say. But there is a celebrity on this board who will get the starting job. He moved to LB to center. Odd but its 2025 anything can happen. But its @stephenboyd57 . He will chris farley their tommy boy black sheep out of here

This also gives some insight to the trades Brad made to get his guys as he knew who and why he wanted, dare I say needed, them.

With the Tate pick…remember who they jumped ahead of to get Tate…Baltimore. They had a really good hunch Baltimore was gonna take him and they couldn’t risk losing him. There weren’t many suitable players in the draft who could play center…I don’t care what anyone says…the OL is the key to our success. We need an elite OL more then we needed a elite DE opposite Hutch. Barnes will show out…I don’t normally do a walk…but when Barnes shows out…I might actually do the told you so walk.

I dig it. They had a plan and executed it. I was also just reading some analysis over on Reddit how in the last 25 years 16 PB Centers were drafted as Centers. But nearly as many, 12 PB centers were drafted as Guards and moved to Center

That is interesting… I would not have guessed it to be that high

Well, Dan talked about it at his summer break presser and Justin Rogers amplified it: Kingsley Eguaken is a factor in the center equation. He was an UDFA center and on the PS all last season, so I didn’t pay too much attention (unlike I did with Thomas Perry this year who we didn’t snag). Ragnow said good things about him, though has Ragnow ever trashed anyone? In any case, here’s a couple of clips that say he’s serious and way clear of turd territory. May the best center win.
