Couple interesting ones:
Thinks Stenberg won’t survive.
Thinks the Lions will pursue the following:
- Rams safety John Johnson
- Rams TE Gerald Everett
- Titans WR Corey Davis
- Ravens EDGE Yannick Ngakoue
- 49ers DL Solomon Thomas
Outside of Johnson, and maybe Everett, don’t see the Lions going after any of the other three.
I like from article bring these 4 back
-
LB Jarrad Davis – when new head coach Dan Campbell specifically mentioned Davis as someone he liked when he watched the Lions, that should probably mean something…
-
CB Daryl Roberts – he’s a perfectly fine No. 4 CB, plays well on special teams and he won’t cost a lot to keep as a veteran mentor with familiarity for youngsters Amani Oruwariye and Jeff Okudah on the outside.
-
LS Don Muhlbach – Death. Taxes. Don freaking Muhlbach.
-
LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin – I’m not sure he’ll be on the team come September, but I suspect the new staff will give him a chance to prove he can make it. He’s a better scheme fit for the expected defensive changes than he was for the old regime.
Ford the CB I would be ok with him also he is RFA but came in NFL undrafted so he would get lowest offer $2,240,000 salary

Solomon Thomas will not be interested in Lions he only like turf fields an when you complain after being that high of a pick…I get feeling he has his money why play hard. * 5th-year option available in 2021 (declined) $28,154,366 he got it all

I hope we give Maybin a chance. I think he can be a pretty good player in a better scheme.

And if not, he’s a heck of a special teams play. I want him and Killabrew back at the right price.

I read this article earlier today and immediately thought to myself. Jeff … Stenberg was always a bit of a project and it’s seems silly to give up on that after one season.

I do as well.
I think he’s shown some flashes and would love to see how he does in the new scheme.

I think Stenberg has that “bite your kneecaps” mentality that Dan Campbell would love.

yup- dude has improved, done well with his chances, and to the best of our knowledge, done everything they asked without complaining…Even under harsh Patricia circumstances.
With the exception of the salary cap cuts, which were mostly obvious, most of these turned out wrong.
Gives us all hope that anyone could write a Lions blog given that level of insight…
