Also there’s almost five full grams of sodium in a can of Spam along with preservatives and fat and not much in the way of nutrients, so your cat will probably join the AI in having it’s head pop off from a massive blood pressure thrombo in the not distant future

This is the answer. Little tastes are OK, but if you start feeding your cat spam daily you won’t be doing it for long.

You also shouldn’t be feeding it trash $8 bags in the first place unless you like paying vet bills.
Get OMGBFF wet food and a good dry food and they will eat a lot less and be far healthier. That wet food is cheap ($18-ish a case for the 5.5oz cans) and it’s very good for them. Cats are just like humans, carbs are bad and most of the kibble is just a lot of carbs with some meat. High quality food = high quality life for your pets.
Also get a fountain for him to drink out of, cats instinctively know that standing water is bad and they usually don’t drink much out of normal bowls and will self dehydrate.

I mean if your diet consisted of just spam it wouldn’t be okay for you either. But there’s also a lot of crap humans can eat that isn’t good for dogs and cats.

I would recommend a higher quality food myself, but just included that one to show how affordable it is compared to Spam.
