Astros vs Tigers; Aug 18-20

I think I’m less angry at Sweeney than I am at Javier Baez. The MFer takes $23+M every year and does nothing. Towards the end of this season he’ll talk about how frustrated he is with his bad play and will re-dedicate himself to playing good next year. He’ll say this as he robs Detroit for another $23M year.

Screw that guy!!

So just curious. With Meadows in IL what is the lineup against right handed pitching some would like to see without Sweeney in that line up?

You could put McKinstry there, better with the bat and at least as good as Sweeney with the glove. Both LH hitters.

Now it removes some of the flexibility that Hinch likes with the roster but it answers your question with regards to an alternate option.

I believe Ibanez can also play ss along with Baez as RH hitters.
While we wait for Meadows and or Vierling to come back you can also play Perez in CF and Greene occasionally as well.

Next inning is huge for Flaherty. When he breaks down, it’s traditionally about 4th - 6th inning.

Keith is underrated on this team, just having a very quiet very good season.

So when rosters expand from 26 to 28 on Sep 1, who would you guys like to see be sent up?

I’d like to see Max Andersen and perhaps McGonigle.
