Ausar gets his bag

5 years, $155 million. $53 million less than his brother got. I guess we know who the shrewdest GM in Detroit is.

Hopefully he can get a jump shot. Too much fo a guy who cant shot a ball

No way, this is a great contract. I thought he would get upwards of $35m/yr. If he had a jump shot he’d be a $50m/yr+ player. As is he’s the best mortal (not Wemby) defensive player in the league and is a complete game changer when he’s on the court, well worth $31m/yr. If he develops more offense, this is a huge steal. He deserves more money than Duren and will get less than him.

Great signing. He’s still so young, shown improvement. Smart to lock him in now.

Nba you have to score

I agree 1000%

people don’t think about all the extra possessions and points he creates through his defense.

Good for Ausar, and a good contract for the Pistons. Word is that Duren wants 40M/year and we’re at 35M/year. At least its getting closer.

His brother can shoot the ball

He scores a little better than Ausar but he certainly can’t shoot.

It’s a great signing. If Ausar can either develop a midrange J, one post move, a little tighter handle, OR develop an average 3 pointer, he will far outstrip his contract. Any one of those.

The kid can score. He can’t shoot. There is a difference.

All he needs to do is take it to the hoop when open and inside 10ft from the basket.

He seemed afraid to shoot when open in the playoffs. Take it in for a dunk or layup and he becomes a guy you have to cover.

That has nothing to do with his ability to score vs shooting.

NBA always buys the young untapped atheltic player with limited basketball skill. Ausar is insane even by their standards. His abilty to disrupt is second to none.

5.7 ppg

Ben Wallace’s career average as a NBA Champion, 4x defensive player of the year and Hall of Famer.

Ausar is fine. If he learns to shoot he goes into the top echelon of the NBA.

Iggy and Michael Cooper eventually learned how to hit a 3 often enough to keep the D honest. Took a loooong time though.

I would like a more Bruce Bowen kind of curve with more Coop/Iggy type volume.

Oh and Sheed?

DON’T LEAVE HORRY

Damnit Weasel, why don’t you just come over to my house and punch me in the balls in person?
