Alan Williams has been away from the team recently, with the Bears offering no explanation as to why.

From what others are saying, it sounds like Williams is suspected of doing the worst possible thing you can do on the internet, very very serious stuff.

His resignation statement:
“I am taking a step back to take care of my health and family. I appreciate the opportunity to work with the Chicago Bears, a storied NFL franchise with a rich history. The McCasky family is first-class and second to none. I would also like to thank Coach Matt Eberflus and General Manager Ryan Poles for giving me the opportunity to come to Chicago. I would also like to thank President Kevin Warren, the coaches and player of which I value the relationships and camaraderie. I value the NFL shield and all that it stands for and after taking some time to address my health, I plan to come back and coach again.”
I sure hope it’s a health thing and the rumours are false. But, the Bears have already deleted his profile page on their website and there is no news item about him leaving.
Just realized this is the same dude that coached the Lions DB’s for several years when Caldwell was head coach.

There are things worse then death, prison, for a person who hurts innocent children is one such thing. I hate wishing harm on anyone…i make exceptions for those who harm innocents.
Such offenders typically don’t do too well in prison.
