Absolutely brutal weekend for injuries
Brutal… The injuries are out of control. And most of the serious ones aint even hard contact. Just ACL’s and achilles blowing from non stop cutting and change of direction. Also too many games in college and the nfl
Here’s what we do play 18 game seasons… And play football 6 months a year! That will help ![]()
Almost like a 6’4, 280 pound frame wasn’t meant to cut on a dime. A lot of weight to put on an inch or so lump of cells and protein. At the end of the day, physics always wins.
I’ve been saying this for years… There is no way to condition ligaments to handle the maximum mass and pressure today’s athletes put on their bodies. Like the rise of Tommy John surgery in baseball, it’s just a matter of time before you’re going under the knife. It’s shocking a player like Barry never had that happen while cutting on astroturf
You can take the helmets away and wear flags… These guys are still gonna be blowing out knees and achilles non stop with these extended seasons. NFL has no idea what they are doing. Just care about money. So I guess they do know. But they sure don’t care about players.
Good comparison on the Tommy John surgeries @TouchdownMyPants
It’s funny
All of over division rivals except Minnesota suffered catastrophic injuries to some of their best players yesterday but we are done lol
Tommy John surgeries
Am I supposed to surprised that THE blow out elbow guy had two first names?

It’s kinda a shame though… Cause by the super bowl you aint watching the best players in the world. You are watching the few healthy players left
Like we won 15 games last year…means nothing when half your roster can’t play in the playoffs

I thought they messed up by expanding to 17. I genuinely thought they needed fewer games (13 or 14), not more, and to drop preseason entirely. The ligament issue is one that the league cannot account for.
I also think every team should get at least 2 bye weeks - at a minimum. And under no circumstances should guys be playing 4 days after a game. That is complete and utter BS but the players want the money just as bad as the owners so here we are.
Bears trade for Trey.
Bears trade for Trey.
I’d be surprised. They’re already maxed out.
For the science geeks
Go to the 2:45 mark and listen through the 3:30 mark
Hilarious but facts that echo here
90 percent of what I said was a joke the other 10 could happen
So there’s a 90% chance your 10% will be
At the end of the day, physics always wins.
@Bols has the granny receipts on that bit of science
Why would they trade for Trey when they have Caleb unless they are trying him at a new position ![]()
