Translation: I will suffer the smoke for the money youâre offering.
I donât think the Bears are gonna be a bad team at all.
I think this is gonna be a really tuff division even better then last year , I think bears improve Vikes depends on JJ. Packers will be the Packers
Enjoy the North basement and perpetually under achieving Ben. You have some swagger and moxie but youâve also been in MCDCs shadow since you got on anyoneâs radar.
Holmes to Ben
Youâre in The Game nowâŚYou wanna walk your baby nuts around the block, you wonât make it to the corner
Bears can be a good team-if they do the right things-so far, itâs been sloppy over there, but yeah-in time, they can become noticeably stronger opponent.
He is a dweeb. He is going to flame out as a HC in a big way. He is Brandon Staley except offensive side of ball. Him and Caleb are a perfect match.
He seems more willing to talk a big game than I expected.
Have even had the draft yet⌠let alone training camp.
Also donât see to many road wins for the Bears this yearâŚ
as I think most would predict 7-8 of their 9 road games are against teams with legit playoff hopes.
.
yeah Bennie isnât a Glenn /Campbell, mind-that are masters of smoke-we donât know what the hang their going to do up to the Draft or during it , until they announce their picksâŚwe get news from media sources and talking heads during the off-seasonâŚlittle snippets here and there, until then-we entertain ourselves.
Heâs on the boarder of being cocky, a little prematurely
I watched as Calebâs linemen wouldnât even help him up off the field. No eye contact in the huddle.
Ben Johnson isnât fixing that.
Somewhere thereâs a Pole and BJ smoke joke in there.
Alot of trash talking, combined with a ton of money spent on FAs (which we know historically works super well in the NFL - weâve seen it happen quite a few times for the lions!)
He will either be a great HC or flame out hard, doesnât feel like thereâs an in between here
I, immediately want to know âwhatâ theyâre smoking?
Howâs that?
Ben is acting very arrogant and had that âI have arrivedâ mentality. He got his bag and his title as HCâŚnow will he be able to tone it down and be himself or is he gonna keep up this act (I do not think he is this brash of a person) because itâs all an act.
It will be interesting to see how Ben responds if the Bears hit a skid and arenât playing to expectationsâŚthen all this smartest guy, I want the SMOKE schtick will really be tested.
I can see this ending bad if he doesnât drop the act and just be himself!
He will either be the next mcvay or the next gase.
Here is what I got⌠I doubt Jeanty makes it to them, and I doubt anyone is trading up into the top 5-6 for a RB⌠Jeanty would make me nervous, but Iâm okay with literally any other pick for them.
I do not fear the Odunze and DJ Moore combo, and I am beyond glad Allen is gone⌠Kmet is okay and Swift is functional, but they arenât Gibbs, Monty, Laporta-
We have yet to see Caleb as a winner, and I truly donât expect him to be one. He wasnât a winner in a weak ass Pac 10âŚ
The real reason I think they are in trouble, is there I am âBearishâ on their DâŚ
The spend a ton of money on the OL and the D- butâŚ
They gained Odeyingbo and an aging Jarrett who totaled 6.5 sacks in 2024 and now make nearly 31MM AAV- they LOST D Taylor and D Walker who also had 6.5 sacks from those DL spots⌠Even the PFF scores didnât collectively improve much on who they brought inâŚthey really didnât add anyone else, and at this point I think Byard is becoming a back end liability in coverageâŚ
They spent a TON on the OL⌠Dalhman and Jackson average about 5-6 missed games each, each year over the last couple and Thuney is 33 years oldâŚ
I donât see Caleb improvement and a few rookies getting them much better than 7-10âŚ
The problem is that Moore, Sweat and others are being paid like they are truly elite and they arenât at this point. There are 2-3 other big contracts coming up next year as well, and suddenly they will be in no manâs lad picking in the mid teens and without cap room, and without a top 10 QB
They picked the wrong QB. That could be the title of a book about the Chicago Bears franchise.
