It is simple. You stand on the idea of the Lions getting better in every position group and you are not responsible on how they do it. So you want Trey. It is that simple for me. I realized that it is not my money plus the owners are all killing it. So why should or would I care. Spend the money and pay the fine for going over the cap (is that a thing in football like it is in BB and Baseball and maybe even hockey). I say spend spend spend and get better. It is not my money. And I have yet to hear of a NFL owner going broke because of their NFL teamâŚ
And I agree it is fun to play GM and care about the cap and such. But the reality is it is not my problem.

I am. But no, no intel at all on SweatâŚwhich meansâŚmost likely not anything there, aside from perhaps a professional phone call to see what the asking price is. Brad has a very strict model that he does not deviate from in regards to fair and honest compensation. If he believes a player is worth 12 a year for 3 yearsâŚhe will not budge. Ever. Levi is a great example. The final number is what Brad was willing to payâŚLevi looked around and didnât see anything betterâŚ
I just dont know how we pay him and Hutch. Im not a draft nerd guy, bit if theres a stud near the top of the draft, why not trade up and go for him instead? They are in the weird position of having drafted too many good players. I feel like they can part with beans easier than trying to squeeze that extra high end contract in.
That happens when you have an owner thatâs only slightly less cheap than the Aâs owner.

56.5 sacks in 47 games over 3 seasons. As a rookie to start that run.

He was a Lion before I was born⌠Those are some wild numbers his first 3 years⌠Did he get injured? His sack totals really dropped after that.
I have to give that post an extra thumbs up!

He did a bit, also the team play dropped off and he lost some guys around him, and the team was behind a lot so fewer pass rush opportunities. Also the NFL strike cost him half a season.
Also Russ Thomas happened so was traded for bupkis instead of paying him.
Rick Gosselin started his HoF case for Baker like this
Al âBubbaâ Baker wasnât just the best pass rusher in the NFL in his first five seasons. He was the best pass rusher the NFL has ever seen for the first five seasons of a pro career
Baker finished with 1.5 fewer sacks than Lawrence Taylor. In 4 fewer games.

Literally one of the greatest episodes of sitcom of all time.
The delivery was so good.

The Bungals are a terrible franchise. This is why as a free agent you avoid them.
Theyâve jerked everybody around except Burrow
So I read that Hedrcksons camp told the Bengals he would bring them a 1st round pick in a trade. Makes it a little more interesting. Supposedly has said he will retire before he plays for the Bengals again, but Iâm not sure thatâs true. If this lingers past the draft it will be another messy off season for the Bengals.
