The waiving of Arnold was official today, claiming deadline is next Monday 07/06 at 4pm. Odd that they went two days without transactions (not normal).

According to TA’s agent, three teams contacted him as soon as the Lions announced his release. Could be agent speak, but interesting none the less.

We shall see, supposedly, per below blurb in the DetNews his agent will speak on the 3 opportunities.
Now that Arnold no longer plays for the Lions, Assistant State’s Attorney Kevin Riley has filed a motion asking Sabella to reconsider his decision, as Arnold’s release from the Lions constitutes a change in circumstances and would allow for reconsideration.
But Steinberg said in his response to Riley’s motion that the circumstances have not changed, considering he has been contacted by three other NFL teams.
Arnold will have a hearing at 9:30 a.m. July 10 to determine if he is to be placed on a GPS tether. During this hearing, Steinberg said Arnold’s agent will testify about his employment opportunities.

Am I supposed to care if TA is on another team? If he’s found innocent or has charges dropped then I hope he flourishes. If it stinks of “rich people justice” then I’ll have issues with our justice system but not with Terrion and his theoretical standout performance with the Browns or whoever.
Everyone just needs to buckle up and enjoy the impending ride. In six weeks the fellas are punching the gas pedal through the floor. The loss of a talented CB yet to find his way isn’t changing that. If you disagree I’m not mad at you. It’s your right to misread the 2026 NFL tea leaves.

Bad shit happens. Winners overcome. We have constructed this whole thing around perseverance. We are built for this shit. Everyone needs to chillax. And everyone should take heed from our leaders and orient their own personal ambitions around the Lions’ ethos. For once in our lifetime’s our leaders know how to lead.

You are not, of course. And you are correct here, but the ‘we can never have nice things’ mentality is deeply ingrained into the fanbase, and despite having plenty of nice things, it will always come to the fore when something like this happens. Which of course you know as well

I think he will always be somewhat limited from his true (statistical) ceiling by the number of weapons we have. The impact, though, that should continue to increase. There’s no reason he can’t become the co-1 with ARSB
Sure. To some extent. Unless Goff has one of those ‘07 Brady/‘84 Marino type of seasons. I do believe that is within the realm of possibility. Wouldn’t bet on it of course. But a 5k passing year in a 17 game season? Sure, why not Jared?
