Big Ten expands live replay reviews after Michigan-WMU wild finish

Not interesting timing at all, just doing what they should have to begin with.

The Big Ten is about to take fans inside the huddle on official reviews.

The Big Ten announced Wednesday, Sept. 9, that starting this weekend, all games featuring Big Ten officials in Big Ten stadiums, including all conference games, will feature live video and audio from official reviews on the TV broadcasts.

The Big Ten previously said that it would offer the live audio and video for its Friday night games in 2026, but it decided to expand that to all games. And it’s certainly interesting timing.

The live-look replay is a broadcast feature that has been popularized in recent years by the United Football League.

The Big Ten’s live-look replay will show discussions between on-field officials and replay-review officials, who are based at the conference’s replay center at the Big Ten headquarters in Rosemont, Ill.

Taking the ‘damage control’ out of it this is pretty cool. I remember the XFL doing something similar and I loved it.

They’re obviously not going to but can you imagine the shit storm that would ensue if Michigan won the national championship again this year?

The only thing that will save cfb right now is if wmu wins out and somehow forces their way into a playoff game against michigan and wins.

Remember the perfect game that wasn’t? This just might put WMU on the map.

The ONLY reason I can think of not to do this is to hide shady dealings. We can live with human error (after a fashion). We don’t want deceit.
