Bills will never win with Josh Allen

Josh Allen can take over a game, he did it against a playoff team last week… BUT, he can look terrible at times as well. Buffalo has a good running game and OL, but their receivers are trash. This is such a weird year in the NFL.

The Texans game isn’t what should put everyone on notice…..it was that Miami game. And what’s up with Coleman? And the Bills defense isn’t going to scare anyone.

I would take allens mobility over goffs in any heartbeat.

That’s what makes Allen a super human… He’s at his best when things break down and can make something from nothing, Goff withers and dies most times he’s touched. You can win with both styles, just in very different ways.

This made me laugh…

That shouldn’t matter. According to the brain trusts on here an “elite” QB should be able to win without great weapons. He is supposed to be able to elevate the play of those around him.

Of course an elite QB should win without great weapons and that’s what Allen is doing. He isn’t even playing well either and they’ll make playoffs. Put Goff on the Bills and they’re a 5 win team.

After he flamed out in Chicago, I stopped paying attention. Did he do anything to redeem himself in Pittsburgh? I don’t know, man. I’ve always equated Trubisky with massive failure.
Which makes it that much worse that he kept on beating Detroit.

But again my point cool allen can make a play happen when it breaks down.
Cool.

But thats what? Maybe 10% of the game.

And if Goff is 10% more accurate than allen. Then its a wash.

50 passes or scrambles a game.

Goff will pass over 36/50

While allen will have 5 scrambles for positive yards but go 30/45

In the end. The both Have about 35 positive plays and 15 bad plays a game. The issue with allen.

When DLs contain him like Houston did. Hes forced to win with his arm and he cant.

So hes a good QB. But hes not the “undisputed MVP”

Josh Allen is like the anti-Goff. He absolutely can take over games and win them by himself. And he can look bad when everything is perfect.

Agreed. The strategy to beat those 2 are the complete opposite

Exactly.
Beat allen - Keep him in the pocket. Force him to throw.

Beat goff - flush him from the pocket. Force him to run.

But they are equally effective.

Combined run and pass. Over the last 3 years.
Both are just over 50% success rate.
Both around 0.20 EPA/P

If you break it down to “did the team score on a drive” “did they stay ahead of the chains”

The results are nearly identical. Who cares about total yards and TDs. If the TEAM results are the same

Josh Allen has played only 7 games in a dome over the past 3 seasons.

Seven!!!

Considering that over 1/2 of a team’s games are played after November 1st… that is a significant disadvantage for his stats.

Josh Allen had one of the best playoff games I’ve ever seen a QB have that resulted in a loss.

Jan 23, 2022.

27/37 329 yards 4 TDs 0 Ints 136 rating, plus 11 carries for 68 yards.

And he lost to Mahomes!

So, you’re saying he failed.

great gif…..

was fitting for the OP…..

who chose chose to blame Josh Allen for the Bills issues…

despite the defense being the 30th ranked run defense…

and that is their biggest issue.
