When you said “a lot of Miami fans here” I thought you meant here on the board.
Are you going to this game?

Oh, sorry for not clarifying. Yes! My dad and I got here yesterday.
First OSU game I will have been to since the debacle in Atlanta against Georgia. Can’t go any worse.
I’m working with a former Hurricane QB on a large project in Miami right now, great guy. His dad was a big Michigan fan and he was leaning to going to Michigan until Devin Gardner signed.
Some of the stories he tells are hilarious on recruiting and while on campus. Same for a former UM TE that I occasionally sell materials too.
I’m not sure if I’ve told this story on here before, but Miami was actually my first choice when I was making my college decision. I just got a better scholarship from Alabama, and it made a lot more logistical sense. It’s a great school.
I’m sure I’m going to apply to Miami again for med school when the time comes.
Speaking of Alabama, how’s life in that town? One place I’ve never been. When went to Miami for a game-BUSY place
IOWA hit the ground running, literally.
Impressive play by the Iowa QB avoiding the sack and scrambling for big yards on that 3rd & 7. What a clutch play
Not sure his game translates to the pro’s but it works real well in college.
It’s a great college town. Has just about anything we need and not too much more.
It really doesn’t feel that far away from home (Huntsville) which is great. Huntsville is definitely different than the rest of the state though. I don’t know how else to describe it.

Tuscaloosa and Birmingham are two great towns. I’ve probably said before but asked what cities I missed when I stopped traveling nationally 11 years ago. One in the top 10 was Birmingham.
As an aside, I will be in Huntsville first week of February in case you are visiting home.
Looking forward to seeing if the rumors are true on Iowa’s LB coach heading to AA to join Whittingham.
Tight End U strikes again.
Check your PMs here in a minute.
Good food scene?
Almost seems too good to be true, but… we did see the long time Iowa ST’s coordinator take a job with a different program this year.
It’s just so uncommon to see coaches leave Iowa. Once they get a job, unless they get fired they usually stay there forever it seems
I think so. It’s not a big of a deal as it might be in a major city somewhere, but I think it’s pretty good.
The food and brewery scene are why Birmingham is in my top ten. My local rep has been there for almost 70yrs and brings me to all the spots visitors may not hit.
Damn Dude. I’m jealous.
I really miss being able to go to games and things like that.
Have Fun!
Go to Calusa Brewing, one of the best breweries I’ve been to in 2025, would have said this yesterday if I realized you were there.
