I’d love to see Erick Hallet emerge. I think he has by far the best pass game playmaking upside of the younger reserves.
I’m personally fascinated by Ian Kennelly, though I doubt he’ll do much this year. Could be our own Blankenship-type find… except he’s a much better athlete and has more playmaking ability (Blankeship’s a better tackler though).
You like the Reid and react types?
I like the found money types
Ugghhh I’m an asshole I forgot the kicker and punter
Seriously Fox & Bates I wouldn’t trade them dudes for anyone
Blankenship wouldn’t work for me. Reminds me too much of my childhood Battleship exploits or lack thereof really. “F$ck you, F5!”
Crazy thing is, you only mentioned the major hits. Levi had a very solid year last year and may still emerge as a quality starter or better. Melifonwu also had terrible injury issues but looked like a legit star at times when he was healthy. Don’t forget about Brock Wright as well, who has carved out a solid career as a reliable TE2 as evidenced by the 49ers trying to poach him.
If Barnes really does break out as a pass rusher this has to be one of the best draft classes of all time if it isn’t already.
Even with all that said, it’s even crazier to think that there is a legitimate argument that can be made that 23 may be just as good.
Hard for anyone to argue that Holmes isn’t the best drafting GM in the league the past four seasons. Yet somehow we still have people that doubt his selections.
And in a pinch…

LOL
ya mean backup qb, backup lb, backup s, backup rb?
