What happens first… A BB INT or a BB PF? Whats the kalshi market say?

I do t think they are putting branch out there until he’s as close to 100% as possible. He’s also in a contract year and has to be smart about it as well. I’m sure he might be rusty but I think physically he will be good to go.

Pass Interference or Illegal Contact beyond 5 yards is my bet.

For anybody that doesn’t think Branch can come back from an achilles and be close to 100%, I give you Mr. George Kittle as exhibit A.

And yes, I understand that for every George Kittle, there is a Caleb Williams. But I ask you, would you say that Brian Branch reminds you more of a George Kittle type or a Caleb Willams type?

Lions not upset about early bye because they know every week the chances of Branch being on the field went up. Branch and Kerby peak….we couldn’t generate any pass rush. Pass rush starts out the season super hot….no Branch and Kerby. Branch WILL be back. Kirby WILL be back. We need to start strong so Branch/Kirby will be back on the field together to finish the season strong and win in the playoffs.

Terrell Suggs tore his achilles in April. Played in October and helped the Ravens go on to a Superbowl. Branch is bit behind his level of progress but I’m sure he’ll be more than ready when he hits the field.

Yup. Def get the sense that the staff are holding back the players from returning in many cases. (And I prefer them to err on the side of caution.) Sure sounds like what’s happening for BB.

In any case, good news.

What makes you say that?

I love the optimism, but nothing that has been leaked to us indicates this is the case. Even Dan has poured some cold water on him returning anytime soon.

TWO ginormous IFs, but, maaaaaaan, that’d be huge.

I also wanna see what Ironside can do.

For the readers:

Encouraging. He’s close to practicing. So I’d imagine if all goes well maybe we get him back by game 7 or 8. If no setbacks. Still good news. Shit we need safety help more than any other position so badly.

Even when he does return, I’d ease him in slowly. We need him ready to rock fully in December and January more than we need him in late October.

Agreed— wait until after the bye no reason to rush it

I need a safety that grabs JuJu Smith-Schuster’s ear with one hand and flips off the Pack fans with the other

Accept no substitutes
