Seriously a good strategy. This is not meant to be rude, but what classifies a minority hire? For example Mike McDaniel’s father is black, his mom is white. So he counted. Is 50 percent the minimum? Or does Ben Johnson’s long lost great, great grandfather from Mexico count?
Damn that’s a lot of 3rd round picks.
Then they pissed away 3 first rounders so it helped to balance it out.
Maybe he’s half Canadian?
Damn that’s a lot of trade bait.
Agnew doesn’t have any interviews I don’t think. Which is very odd indeed.
I think if he leaves it will be part of a Glenn or Ben combo.
The problem he’ll have is he’s not a self-promoter. He’s a thoughtful, soft-spoken guy who prefers to let his work speak for itself. Those aren’t the types of guys these owners have spent their careers hiring as they stepped over people on their way to the top.
It’s not a matter of “worth it”. If he wants the gig, and gets the offer, then… he A) he deserves it, and B) we don’t have a choice.
Not just the forum, but the freaking team doesn’t have a choice either!
If he leaves, wish him luck, fear him not and move on….
The same guys who hired AG, kept Ben while cleaning house… and quickly promoted him- are the guys in charge.
One day…. Jared Goff will possibly get recognized as the guy who broke records in HS, broke records at Cal, deserved the #1 overall seat selection, helped make McVays career, helped Dan get his footing, and helped Ben earn validation. Truth!
He will have played in SBs with multiple teams, led top 5 offenses multiple times, with multiple teams, won 13 games with multiple teams… and soon he will be leading a top 3 offense with yet another unproven play caller.
Goff will help break in whoever we hire.
Hutch and company will help break in whoever we replace AG with.
Brad will hopefully use those picks to land another Kerby, McNeill or Ra.
