This reminds me of the Chris Pronger injury against the Wings, where he took a slapshot and it stopped his heart. He damn near died on the ice. Same with Fischer, but his was non-contact.
The fact he stood back up says to me it’s not a spinal injury like Reggie Brown or Utley. I am almost wondering if he didn’t take such a hard hit, his heart stopped.
And God bless the other soccer player years ago (name escapes me) for dropping down to the ground instantly and pulling out the opposing teams player’s mouth-guard while being bit and rolling him over to save his life.
These things are so rare, but when it happens it’s so good to see people on top of things.
And all we can do is sit and watch. We’re all helpless. Just have to hope and pray.
From watching it if I had to guess (not really want to) but a heart condition. Something like Reggie Lewis of the Celtics.
And not that age should matter, but damn just 24 years old.

We take this game way too seriously and their health not seriously enough.
