The Commanders lost Laremy Tunsil for the year …
By all account, the Lions have eased up on the tough practices this year, trying to limit injuries. So, I’ll just defer back to the long time consensus for the reason this keeps happening… We’re cursed
The Juicy Scruggs comp pick will make it all worth it. After all the season is really nothing more than a magic bean farming operation.
Well I’d be more than happy to go on another rant about how “conditioning” is incredibly stupid, which we do a lot of. You don’t get better at playing football by running hills and running wind sprints…you get better at playing football by playing football.
Now, I’d like to point out that we have had the same training staff in place since 2023. Since then, we have been among the three most “injured teams” in the league. I’d like it if there was some public report that we were at least looking into how we practice and how we recover and how we condition (while unnecessary) as compared to other teams, and to see if any disparity found there might be partly to blame for our injury crisis.
Dan seems like the type of guy (and I could be wrong about this obviously) to value intense practice and intense conditioning. I’d like it if we at least showed we’re willing to move off of those habits if we think it can keep our guys healthy.
They have, go read the reports
Brutal. Sounds like a broken wrist.
I’d love to see if that’s the case. I’ll shut my stupid mouth if that’s the case.
Straight-up non-football conditioning is extremely stupid though and I really wish we didn’t do that.
Well duh bring in and draft players that don’t get hurt. It’s that simple.

So it’s broken, meaning it’s not a tendon injury or something like that that could be worn down over time through practice habits and other training. That changes my outlook on it. Nothing we could’ve done here I guess.
Dan has said they look into everything. The difference in camp has been noticeable to the local guys who cover the team. I think no rookie minicamp and no joint practices were part of trying to limit injuries. I know injuries happen and they weren’t even in pads yesterday but to lose our new center already sucks ass.
Not good but not the end of the world. Just glad he is expected back by mid season. Gives the OL plenty of time to gel before the games really matter. We have a fairly soft early season schedule too, minus the Bills.
I know injuries happen but wtf are these players made out of?
A small broken bone. Tape that shit up and get your ass on the field. Kidding.
At least it sounds like we still might get him back by November.
Looks like after the week 6 bye is a logical time for him to return based off that timeline. Means he missed games against the Saints, Bills, Panthers, Cardinals, and Jets.
Thankfully our early season schedule isn’t brutal. We should be fine
Yea and what really sucks is it’s not like he’s been killing it camp. He needed to get more work in before the season.
Right he’s new to the team and scheme. Needs reps. Now gets none for 2 months at least. Not ideal
Man, the Lions catch all the wrong kinds of breaks. Really hate to see this for the OL, as it’s crucial to our success and Cade was supposed to be a big part of that. Even if healthy, this means when he comes back, it’s going to take time to get everyone to gel together. Really hate this for us.
