I actually think he has a good chance given the current lack of receiving talent and 17 game schedule. You only need to average 59 yards a game to hit 1k in rushing and receiving. It won’t be easy but I think it’s certainly doable. Especially if he can stay healthy and our line is as good as advertised.

I think it’ll be far too much of a committee for that to happen. Wouldn’t shock me if the two of them combined for close to 3000 yards from scrimmage though.

I like your thinking, but I think we’ll be too one-dimensional, and that opposition will stack against the run/short passing game. It has the potential to be uglier than we think, IMO (hopefully not).

I don’t think Swift is as durable as they were. I think he’s s similar threat but also outside durability, he’s in more if a RBBC set up
I also agree 100% with BigNatty, unless we prove we can beat teams over the top consistently enough, we’ll be seeing a lot of stacked fronts taking away the run and short passing game. Take away what we do best and force us to beat them another way. To do that with what is widely considered the worst WR core in the league is asking a lot. Hoping we pick up a WR, that will force D’s to respect the deep threat. I don’t think that guy is on the roster. I know there isn’t one teams fear currently. Hoping one steps up to play opposite a to be determined addition.

That’s the interesting part. Williams and perriman aren’t great but they do have elite speed. They can take the top off of defenses. If Goff is well protected he can hit those plays. That opens up the middle.
Swift doesn’t necessarily need to be a workhorse to get to 60 yards rushing and receiving. A few big plays here and there should help with that.

While its not what I’m expecting, I absolutely DO see this as a possibility. If we can protect for long enough, the speed on the outside, in theory, should help soften up the middle.
