Couple of big games with playoff implications.
LSU vs FL Can LSU get to the SEC title game?
UGA vs TN; Can Beck complete fewer passes to his opponent?
Can UM’s QB pass for more than 50 yards, oops thats next weeks ??
This is an elimination game for Georgia, which dropped out of the Playoff field in Tuesday’s rankings and would surely be cooked with three losses. However, a win by the Dawgs — who are double-digit favorites — drags the Vols down to the quagmire of two-loss teams in SEC play, setting the table for some title-game tiebreaker nightmares. Among the eight teams entering the weekend with either one or two losses in the SEC standings, there are only two games remaining that pit those teams against one another: this one, and Texas at Texas A&M on Nov. 30. A lot could change before that, but Saturday’s result will be impactful.
Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava is questionable, with ESPN’s Pete Thamel reporting that Iamaleava is in concussion protocol after leaving last week’s win against Mississippi State. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has had his own non-injury issues, throwing 12 interceptions over his past six games.
No. 1 Oregon (10-0) at Wisconsin (5-4), 7:30 p.m., NBC
No. 22 LSU (6-3) at Florida (4-5), 3:30 p.m., ABC
If you’re wondering why this game, between two teams that got thumped last week, is this high on the list, it’s because there remains a rather plausible roadmap by which LSU can still make the SEC Championship Game.
Arizona State (7-2) at No. 16 Kansas State (7-2), 7 p.m., ESPN
No. 13 Boise State (8-1) at San Jose State (6-3), 7 p.m., CBS Sports Network
No. 20 Clemson (7-2) at Pitt (7-2), noon, ESPN
No. 23 Missouri (7-2) at No. 21 South Carolina (6-3), 4:15 p.m., SEC Network
What a game, I really liked Klubnik as a young guy. Seeing the way he celebrated that TD though, taunting Pitt fans instead of celebrating with his teammates leaves a slightly sour taste in my mouth. Is this when I go holler at someone to get off of my lawn?
Seems to be very overrated. His coaching style doesn’t mix with the big ten. Team had a ton of flags again. Oline might be the worse i have ever saw. No sacks in 6 games. Recruiting is really bad. Plus i think marsh and chiles will be gone next year. Tucker covid year was bad. He also had a guy named walker
Hate having a lot of flags. No sacks in 6 games, is that true? I actually think his coaching style fits the Big 10 very well. Tucker was an obvious fraud with his social media-shoe, dog, and Rolex presence, this Smith guy is all business and the complete opposite. Chiles being gone might not be that bad honestly. As a player he could go either way, one of the most boom or bust guys I’ve ever watched. Covid year to me, really doesn’t count. A lot of teams had out of pocket experiences both ways
