The mailman at our work wears his USPS shirt mostly unbuttoned and reminds us all of the cop from The Village People. Every time he comes in to drop off mail as soon as he leaves me and my darling front desk clerk Abbie look at each other and do our “Young man …” YMCA thing. Nice bonding experience at someone else’s expense.

Yep! 16 games with one week off was bad enough. 17 is just too much.
That, and, every playoff team should get a bye at the end of the season. Let the #1 seeds get two weeks off.
So what if the Super Bowl is the last week of February.

It would. It would be an extra week of football on TV, so an extra week of ad sales and exposure for sponsors. I don’t understand why anyone in the league would be against it.

Yep. An 18th game and a bye week = 2 additional weeks of football.

18 weeks is happening, but there without a doubt needs to be 2 byes for teams

18 games, season = 20 weeks.
Make the bye weeks 6-7 and 13-14. It would still leave you 8 games during the bye weeks, a Thur, Monday and 6 on Sunday. You could run your World games so they play the last game before a bye or the week back from a bye.
A team would have either 5-6 games before their bye, and 6–7 after their bye. If your division is on the early bye schedule one year (6&13), they would be on the late bye the next year and straight rotation.
The negotiations will be an extra game for an extra bye plus extra money … What happens when someone signs a deal when there was 16 games, and now has to play 17 games… Do they get an extra game check? Or do they get less per game bc there’s an extra game?
Totally agree!!! Three games in 10 days is buffoonery. If I’m the players, the only way I’m agreeing to an eighteen game schedule is for a 3 week bye throughout the season.

Good with 2 byes… definitely don’t need 18 games though. If anything go back to 16 games. But $$$
