Him and McVay were teammates @ Miami. They go way back and McVay has been grooming him for this position a long time.
I am sure he’s ready for it……No way McVay promoted him if he wasn’t ready.
We see rookie coordinators every year tear up the league. Usually those rookie coaches are more aggressive than seasoned coaches. So I would expect him to take more chances. Dan Campbell and AG are praised for this.
Besides Shula has far more experience than a lot of rookie coordinators have.
