Comp picks so far

The usual suspects are doing it again:

Steelers Dan Moore 3, Justin Fields 4, Najee harris 5, James Daniels 6, Donte jackson 6.

Eagles MWilliams 3, J Sweat 4, I Williams 6

Niners Ward 4, Banks 4, Hufanga 4, JMoore 5, Greenlaw 5

Ravens Stephens 5, Mekan 5, Harrison 7

Vikings also projected to get a 3 for Darnold with Danny Dimes still in the wings.

CD3 and DJM cancel each other out for us.

If I remember right, isn’t there a limit as to how many you can get?

Iffy at 1/4m should qualify. Though he’d need to stay decently healthy as well.

Maybe that’s why OTC doesn’t have it.

How quickly do they update it? Nick Korte is the one that does it. I believe he’s based out of Colorado so he’s just starting his day.

I thought you could use a lower signing to cancel out a higher one. Guess I misunderstood the rule.

Depending on the contract he may not need to stay healthy. If he has per game roster bonuses, that will effect the compensatory formula. If he doesn’t, he will probably qualify (depending on if to $4M is his base contract or if it’s the dreaded “up to”).

Without seeing the contract details, my guess is his contract will qualify.

What rule aren’t you understanding?

Nick’s post above made it sound like in the end we were getting a 7th. I suppose I misinterpreted and he had not yet got the offset part of the process.

Right now we have Carlton Davis ($18M) being canceled out by signing DJ Reed ($18M). So at this moment, we have a 7th rounder for Iffy ($4M), but that will change as we lose some and sign some.

Now if Levi signs a 3-36 does that cancel the signing of DJ?

I was misremembering the rules and thinking you could use a lower pick to cancel out an outgoing free agent. I guess that’s only if you don’t have a match for the round of the departing free agent as we do with Reed and Davis.

Looks like Dalman at $14m per is the lowest qualifying fourth rounder.

@JerseyJungle ….
you are correct… a team can gain a max of 4 comp picks from free agency signings.

I believe they can also combine picks into a higher pick to limit the total number of picks. Like take the two 6th rounders and convert it to one 5th rounder.

Really? That’s pretty cool if so.

.

that is not true at this time.

I stand corrected. In the 2024 draft the Eagles had a net loss of 9 qualifying UFAS and they were only awarded picks for the top 4.

Yeah, they pegged the individual team limit is all.

ETA:

By the way, if there are no trades, we’ll be the last team picking on Day 2 of the draft. (AG comp pick)

Looks like we get no credit for losing Iffy - his 3.05MM salary doesn’t qualify as compensatory. Meanwhile, we owe a 7th rounder for Roy Lopez. So, we’re -1 picks…Going the wrong way!
