Crosby… can we pray and wish?!

Glayzer carrying Tom Brady’s water here. There is no way in hell a team will give up more than 2x1stscand apro bowl DT for Crosby at this point. In 2023 maybe. We probably would’ve won the Super Bowl had that happened that year

Parsons was traded for in his prime prime. Maxx gonna give us 1-2 years, max(x).

Solid high end Pre-Owned Certified price on Crosby, but no way we oay New Car price…

This is why signing Trey is the real move.

Maxx had his shot to come here and took Bowlcut’s money. Spend it in Cancun in January dude, have a good time.

Ok - remeber I’m on painkillers still (but yes my management is sound… mostly)

can Crosby simply get out of his contract, say by simply walking away? Like if he is that pissed and or somehow there is a path to simply get out of the contract and become a free agent asap?

I’m bored…

Just bring him home.

Medium answer?!

Made sure that this was a “this year” article as opposed to a “last year article.” I suspect that this ends much the same way as last year.

I am not sure I see the front office paying the price with that much draft capital (see below) and for a player that missed final two games with the team proclaiming him injured but the player denying it. The situation between Maxx and the Raiders is odd. But no guarantee money after this upcoming year makes this a bit more palatable.

From a Story by Josh Helmer, Lions Wire

(Jay) Glazer thinks that Crosby could command more on the trade market than Micah Parsons. The Dallas Cowboys dealt Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in August of last year for two first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

2026 cap hit if traded: $30,690,000

2027 cap hit: $29,782,000

2028 cap hit: $27,282,000

2029 cap hit: $28,212,000

Crosby would represent just over a $30 million cap hit for the Lions in 2026 if Detroit dealt for the star pass rusher. One other item to consider is that Crosby isn’t owed any guaranteed money after 2026, so the 28-year-old could very well be seeking a new contract with more guaranteed money wherever he lands.

It’s not like me to say this, but yes, I would give up two 1st round picks. I would rather have him than Micah Parsons. Plus he fits like a glove. Grit, hometown guy, wired right, DC guy. But it’s scary because he cost a lot, and thats a lot to lose if the production isn’t there or there’s injuries, Plus Jack needs to be locked up long term, and myabe LaPorta and maybe Branch. But a good GM’s can make it work. Feels like the 49’ers and Eagles do shit like this all the time. Look at the Rams. They win, and now were good enough to win again, and have two 1st round picks. It’s not Brad’s style. Building through the draft is the way to go, and the OL is priority, but shit it might be time to make a run. And this isn’t a rental. This is long term.

Is it even possible to fit him with our cap situation? I’m clueless when it comes to cap talk

Odds are its gonna be 3 first round picks. EASY.

Mikah was 2 firsts and Kenny clark.

I would LOVE it. FTP! (F them picks)

I doubt it. For a non-QB. Kenny Clark was solid but not that good. I’d give up two 1sts, and Tyliek…lol

Nah

He’s not gonna cost three 1sts… I’d bet my house on it. I bet he could be had for a 1st and a 3rd, maybe a mid level player as well, but that’d be the absolute most

If it was strictly finding a way to stay under the cap, I could see a very outside chance we’d make this move but with the draft capital we’d have to give up I see no way for this to happen.

I guess the ONLY chance would be if we were willing to trade one of our cornerstones, ie St Brown, Jamo, Sewell, Campbell, LaPorta, etc and I don’t see that at all nor would I. They don’t need a RB so Monty is a non starter….

It’s a cool dream but I don’t see any road to it happening.
