I am pretty baffled by Dan and Brad’s plan. That is probably a good thing, as the last thing they want to be right now is telepathic heading into the draft like some of the old regimes were. Do they think Manu can man a tackle spot? Do they have a trade up their sleeve? Did they fall in love with a prospect and have their guy? Is there a FA they like? Ravens are going for it at least. I don’t blame them really.

Lions have 2 all-pro level defenders in Jack Campbell and Aiden Hutchinson. We have another 3 pro-bowl level guys in Kerby Joseph, Brian Branch, and Alim McNeill.
The offense has 6 pro-bowl level+ players in Jared Goff, Penei Sewell, Aman-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams, and Sam Laporta.
This team does not need more elite talent. We are one of the more top loaded teams in the entire league. Aside from fixing the OLine, this team only needs missing pieces. Not Maxx Crosbys…
Relax, breathe…this team is going to be competitive as long as we add significant pieces to the OLine. I swear it feels like half this board have just become Lions fans in the last 3 years lol.

The Ravens gave up HUGE draft capital to get Maxx…
and he likely will want a new contract within a year.

It makes a lot more sense to sign a free agent and give up ZERO draft capital.

Not to rain on your parade but you just named off three guys coming off major injuries and we don’t know how/if they will come back and Mcneil is a year removed from an injury and was not the same player last year.

This is a good trade. I think the Ravens are still SB contenders and thats why i say it’s good. Despite not having a good season. They’re one of those teams that just need a few peices to put together same as I believe with us. If they were a bad team it’s a bad trade. IF they can do it without Harbs

I have seen this theme quite a bit lately about McNeil not being the same player in 2025…. and just wondered if this is really a surprise to people???
It is VERY common for a player to NOT be the same player for at least 18 months following an ACL repair.
If Alim struggles in 2026, I might be concerned.
Was NEVER expecting Alim to perform at his best level in 2025.

I got into virtual fist fights with people on this topic last year. No way a man with his build is coming off that injury in tip top shape. He will be much better this year. I think we are good at DT at least…just need 2 CB, 2 S, LB, 3 DE, C, 2 OG, LT, QB2 and we’re all good!

So one thing I hate about this trade is that it puts the Raiders right in front of us at 14 and they are going to be looking at tackles to protect their new QB.

If Lions made this type of trade last off-season, it would have made sense but if they made it this off season I’d think it was a desperate hail mary.
You make a trade like this to get the final piece.
The Rams roster was complete on paper outside of corner and went and got an all pro with the 29th pick and stuff. That makes sense to me
That’s totally different than where Ravens are at roster wise.
Personally I wouldn’t have cared if the Bears got him if this was the price outside of the non stop bitching it would have caused here
