Current Cowboys drama is popcorn worthy

Taking a shot at Dallas for not being able to win a Super Bowl while simultaneously signing up to play for the Darnold led Seahawks is an approach. I guess.

Yeah I didn’t understand that angle actually, which to me says it was pure potshot. I’m fine with that.

I would have went with the owner is the live action version of this guy

Lawrence isn’t wrong, he is saying something Dallas fans have already accepted. Jerruh has lost it, and refuses to listen to anyone else. They can’t draft, they refuse to sign FA’s to offset the bad drafts, but then when it’s time to extend their own talent, they let the players sit for the longest possible time only to pay them beyond top dollar contract. You cannot do it any worse.

Dallas has built their team to be even more extreme than the Lions in the early 2010’s. They have a massive amount of salary tied up for only a few guys, and the rest of the team is made up of fringe talent. In the meantime, their entire offensive line is now gone. That offensive line is what led to the short Dallas revival. Jerruh massively overrates anyone who wears the star, and then thinks he can sign bottom tier free agents because once they put the star on, they will immediately become a superstar.

The best part is, Jerruh is going to love all of this. He is going to be super happy that Micah “defended” the Cowboys, which will lead to him giving Micah an even bigger contract. Which, let’s face it, that’s the only reason Micah said anything at all. Jerruh loves the drama. The Cowboys are nothing more than a live action soap opera to him, and he is the main character.

Even Stephen A Smith said when it comes to Jerruh, there has been some “slippage”. It’s sad to see when age affects people. No one is immune to father time right? Jerruh used to be a very shrewd business man, and there was a method to the madness. Now, it’s just madness. In Jerruh’s mind, any move he makes is a brilliant move. He still thinks the Cowboys are like the 95 Cowboys. A team everyone hates because they have a ton of talent, and they party as hard as they want, then go out and win. He thinks Dak is Troy, Lamb is Irvin, and dammit we need our Emmett. Parsons is probably his Charles Haley, or maybe Deion with his social media stuff. He has no clue that none of his current roster is close to those old Cowboy teams. Anyone who challenges his delusion, like the radio guys did this year, are threatened and reminded that in this universe, Jerruh is God and with one snap of his almighty fingers…

Most of the actual rational Dallas fans I know believe they are done until Jerruh is gone. Detroit fans know all about that feeling.

Agree with all that but Lawrence talking about super bowls and then signing with Seattle seems kinda weird to me lol.

Oh absolutely it is. However, I think Lawrence’s words are a bit telling. He didn’t say “I am going to Seattle to win a Super Bowl.” He said he left Dallas, his home, because they have no shot of winning. So basically, he is admitting if he has to play for a hopeless team, may as well play for one that gave him a huge paycheck.

I would have liked for Lawrenece to come to Detroit, but no way for that much money. Yeesh!

Yea that’s a good point. I was wanting him as well but throwing 3 year contracts with a bunch of guaranteed money at guys over 30 is what the Bears do……and I guess the Vikings as well now.

That OL absolutely gave him a false sense of accomplishment.

How many games did Dallas win last season?
How many games did the Rams win last season?
Seattle kicks our asses 2 of the last 3 games…at our house, with Geno Smith…who never had a 14 win season.
Way too early prediction, Minnesota is the black and blue basement dweller this season.

I mean…does Seattle really give you a better chance to win a SB than Dallas?

They don’t have Geno or DK this year. They have Kupp and Darnold to replace them.

They have an awful lot of top 100 picks and a good GM, so that is promising. But it seems like DeMarcus could have done better if he was lookig to win a SB.

Seattle has more dollars than sense signing a 33 year old who missed most of last season to a 3 year deal. Brad likes to get his injured guys on prove it deals.

It feels so weird saying that a guy 8 years younger than me is too old and busted to count on for the next 3 years.

Seems like a panic move after losing DK.
